In the interest of being impartial, I'll try to explain it from both perspectives.

Government/establishment: clearly these flashes/explosions were occurring after the building began to fall, most likely bulbs shattering due to the vibrations. Could also be Paula Deen's sizzling fajitas.

Everyone else: controlled demolition charges.
