Whoa!?! What, they finally woke up over there?!!!

I read an article last nite, I think Ed Asner was quoted saying Hollywood doesn't want to go against our King for fear of being labeled a racist!?!! Call me a racist all day long, I will still do the right thing!

Come on Cali!!!!

Police blockage, "let us through!"

@ Island and Sunset, police saying unlawful assembly if not dispersed in 10 mins.

L.A. has a long history of standing up to Police.

They will not push too hard.

These protests need to remain peaceful.

We have the "Right to Peaceable Assemble".

We don't have the "Right" to riot.

Seems police are just standing by and protestors are following the law (including waiting for traffic lights). Nice to see people exercising their rights.

Why would it go offline? Want to think its just a glitch but with so much corruption hard to know.

Their heart is definitely in the right place & could inspire others to speak up, but daaaang, they're not going to get much air time with the heavy F-word usage going on. I get the emotion in tied to it, but it's like shooting yourself in the foot if you're trying to draw attention to something publicly.

Ya it does appear the police are issuing citations and arresting some. In looking at the news of yesterday's protests the media is saying these people are pro-Assad. That's not what I'm getting at all but why not put a spin on it to make them seem evil. Don't want this sort of thing to spread.

Anti-war is different than anti/pro-Assad

I hope people realize that and are not so blinded by the media.

Me too. I hope the same for obamas speech(es). In fact I would encourage people to either stay strong to their beliefs (make them aware of his odd need to persuade) or tell them to not even watch if they feel media sways their opinions too easily. I never realized how bad media was until a few years ago (about the time I started reading ATS).

Maybe they need to see this...

They knew what was going on even in 1969

I know U.S. Americans are disillusioned that their voices will be heard by their Government (understandable, looking back at the ignored Anti-Iraq-war-protests), but this is important for the world to see.

The world needs to see that the people do not want this war... and if it is only for the record / history.
