In prison lingo a year is a bullet. No I haven't been to prison. Close
no cigar. Anyway this past year for me shot by like a projectile fired
from Howitzer. It's alarming that I just looked up and with out even
noticing, it's time for Sept. 11th again. time is whipping past and fast.
Can we slow this world down a couple notches this year. Or in ten
minutes ATS will have a whole new generation of fiasco seeking,
arm chair arceaological, God fearing and and God hating, drama
Queens and Kings and in betweens and gilotines.

I'm talk'in time is move'n fast. Hello ? Any thoughts ?

I'm inclined to agree with you. I find it hard to believe that 12 months ago I got married and visited the US for the first time. I still can't quite believe that I've taken a casual stroll through central park after visiting the American Mueseum of Natural History, even though I've got the photos too prove it

When you get past 50 you'll notice it goes even faster

My father is in his late 80's and he tells me a year seems like a month

I think your simply getting OLDER dude

Strangely this subject came up today. I, myself was just thinking, "man, it is 'cause I am getting older". But, the younger generation in our family were the ones who brought up the subject today - how this year flew.

My wife and I were talking about how time flies over the last couple of weeks. Before we know it, it is the end of the week again. Week after week. Time is really cruising by!

Today the whole family ended up talking about this, and everyone agreed.

I cannot believe how this year just shot past.

Yes, this year has flown by a lot lot lot faster than previous ones!

I was just thinking this a couple of days ago and even considered that time this here has definitely 'warped' somehow.

Glad to know that a few others have noticed this too and it's not just me!

Good morning Randy! Haven't seen you for a spell- glad you're still kicking and breathing!

When I was a child time passed me by ever so slowly, a week seeming more like a month, a month like a year, a Summer an eternity. As I got older and had more to do time sped up- never enough time for having fun. Then true adulthood came along complete with adult responsibilities and time moved even faster, and rather than gauging by days and weeks time was gauged by which crises an event occurred closest to, the children seemingly growing years worth in what felt like only a few months until the next thing I knew they were all grown up. Then the grandchild came and time passes with breakneck speed- feeling like 6 months ago was just yesterday. It is all going too fast, the face in the mirror getting a little older looking each day, the body not so spry as it once was. How the heck did I get so old so fast? Where did the time go?

If you think time flies now you are in for a big surprise buddy! Once your new grandbaby arrives the time will begin to pass at warp speed- mark my words! Treasure every single moment!

I was thinking the exact same thing... I'm going into my third year at uni and it seems like yesterday I just finished my A-Levels.

Although this time I don't think age comes into the equation here cos I've only just turned 21. Maybe I'm old before my time, which explains why my knees crack when I bend down

I'm 54 and some days feel every minute of it.
Always remember, once you are over the hill, you pick up speed.

You're getting older.
When you were five, six months was 10% of your enire life.
Now it's a smaller proportion, so it feels shorter.

I too am 54 and it is going by really fast it seems. Also, this is the first year I can remember that I still have trouble writing 2013. I don't know why. Usually after the first week of January I'm OK. However, this year, it just doesn't feel right. It's kind of weird.
