They were not war-weary but they were isolationists.

They had absolutely no desire to go fight a war in Europe that did not concern them.

Remember that at this time globalization had not hit yet so what happened over there had almost no effect here.

Some, but not like the ripple effects we experience today.

S & F Sept is a huge month for a lot things coming to pass for sure! I would try and explain but most will just shoot me down and I have more pressing matters to tend too..

I do believe you are correct about the 3rd secret beginning sanitized. I recall exorcist, Fr. Malachi Martin, in a C2C interview with Art Bell saying he was privy to the secret (close friend with one of the Popes) and if Catholics knew what it was they would run to the confessional on their knees. That didn't sound anything like was the Church presented.

Catholics can't take the 3rd secret seriously because they really don't know what it is about IMHO, with the exception of the Pope and their confidences.

I would disagree that they sanitized it at all.

I think the reason they didn't release it in 1960 is because of the enormous letdown it was. They probably feared that something so insignificant, which was supposed to be grand, would affect the standing of the Church.

Then you do agree that some of it was sanitized.? If I remember correctly, The Pope said something to the effect that people don't want to know about the nasty bits, and quickly started to fiddle with his rosary. When the nun was asked about it she said that it was all in Revelations. "the apocalypse etc".
Somewhere along the line I seemed to hear him saying, that through history the Church is reinvigorated with the shedding of blood. That's nothing like the official 3rd Prophecy is supposed to say.

No I don't agree it was sanitized.

I think it was released as it was recorded by Lucia. I believe the Vatican held onto it past the release date because it didn't contain anything of any importance when there was a great expectation of what would be revealed.

Also, if you believe the Fatima is heavenly inspired than you must conclude that God would want it exposed to the people. I highly doubt a bunch of people in the Church have the power to combat the wishes of a God. Therefore we have to assume that either they are hiding something, in which case its bogus anyways because God doesn't exist, or that they released the correct version.

A third possibility is that God did indeed originate this through Virgin Mary and that he intentionally wanted the Vatican to withhold it. This of course makes no sense.

One of the biggest corporations in history exists for one reason. That is to perpetuate itself, in the old days it had its own enforcers, that dispensed the "Word" with very little mercy. Its well learned in the fight for hearts and minds, with the knowledge that is gained from ages past, that most people are easily "educated" from childhood. Beguiled in the theatre of Sundays, until it becomes a comfort and crutch for the entire life of the faithfull.
The problem is for 80% of the population, if they don't have this "Opium for the masses". The wheels starts to fall off the truck. Communism was a main contender, the Communion was taken in Vodka, but it just didn't have that X factor that could forgive you the sins you had committed, thus self medication with vodka, was the next best bet.
But when all else fails and the Corporation looks like it is on a downer, in fact a bummer! no pun intended, with regards to Pedo. priests, you always have doom porn. So the Pope says Repent and attend to your Rosarys, what else can he say? If he puts out a Papal bill that seems to forecast an Apocalypse, and if the Apocalypse doesn't happen its starting to look like he might have to do a deal with the Mormon Church. Perhaps he should have denounced the "Secrets Of Fatima" like you said to swamp gas and swooning. But there is always that nagging doubt. Because of the first two having substance. Plus the fact that the present Pope is Preying specifically for Syria, not the general sins of mankind as he usually does.

Well the Vatican does have the pine cone statue outside its building which represents the pineal gland aka knowledge and also illuminate could the Roman Catholic Church be the illuminati? hmmm also why keep so many old books in the vaults so secret from the people of the world? no...the OP idea is more cloudy... in fact i favor this historic event as being recorded in Daniel: 11:30 onward.. about the king that got the kingdom by flatteries rather than by legal or accepted noteworthiness as a leader of men... then it goes on that this Liar king used force once (Libya?)

other interesting notes, Pope FranCIS appointed a Peterio as the sec of state, who is then 2nd in line to replace the pope in the interim upon death or resignation..
i emphasised FranCIS.. because the acronym CIS = Commonwealth of Independent States (Russia & some former USSR nations)...my idea is that the USA & western hegemony will go eastward... the Roman Church will also go East & let the western Church wither-on-the-vine...
Maybe St Petersburg will be the replacement for Rome/Vatican City
