Ok there are threads popping up moaning about Europeans to stop making anti American Statements and to stop lumping all Americans together.

I also see “certain members” claiming Europe is a failed cesspit and implying we should all be like the USA. Basically doing EXCACTLY what they moan about us Europeans are doing!!!!!! Hell a lot of these members seem to know little about EU and just make themselves look like the brainless ignorant hicks we all laugh at here in Europe.

Yes there are some failed places in Europe. Greece, Spain, Italy come to mind. But Europe is not one big place! It is made up of 28 Counties in the EU and a number of non EU counties. Each country varies. There are some very successful places in the EU that are not debt ridden hell holes. Let’s look at a couple of examples shall we?
Norway:
Source

As can be seen its Economy has fared rather well during the recession and has sustainable and modest debt! Rather far from a debt ridden bankrupt states right?

O and you can own guns in Norway too

Sweden:
Source

Again similar story to Norway hardly a failed state!

Other places to look are Finland and Denmark.

So you don’t fancy living in states with good welfare and socialised healthcare. Ok great stay in the USA! Fact is why can’t you respect that the whole world does not want to be like the USA? Why can’t you respect that different cultures want different things? Why can you respect that what’s good for America is not necessarily good for others? And most of all why can you respect that although America way may not be the wrong way it’s not the only way?

We talk about Murica here cause we're Muricans! (USAUSAUSA)

*waves foam finger*

Yerup is filled with non-muricans who have different words for stuff. And they eat eels and snails. And tea.

Yerup is like in Asia where they make noodles and radios and Murican flags.

It ain't Murica.

Murica is Murica.

*sniffs*
*hikes pants way above beer belly*

I hope that cleared it up for you.

I don't judge a book just by its cover.

Real Americans are not mainstream media America.

ATS is a great example of real America.

I never slander countries. I only debate and criticize their foreign and domestic policies.

I met some amazing Americans when travelling. In Israel they were the friendliest of all and I spent a lot of time with those guys there.

It is not people that want all this crazy stuff happening in the world. It is certain powerful cartels that function beyond borders. I always remember that.

Big up to all nationalities posting here at ATS. You are all welcome by me, for sure!

He spend 8 hours to get to Iraq on a airplane and 7 hours to get to a RAF base in Britain
Great logic....except he left from diffrent US bases in the states

*facepalm*

I love America. I love the ideals that it used to have. I also love the UK. I have family there. Growing up abroad, I got to see America as the Europeans saw it. And it was embarrassing. But it is a young country. Americans (for the most part) are good, hardworking, honest people.

So is everyone else on the planet.

Muricans tend to forget that.

Some Americans wrap themselves up with the American flag too tightly. They fail to see their country's own faults. When you're constantly bombarded at an early age with the idea that "America is the best country in the world," some people cling to that idea and believe it heart and soul. What's sad, is most Americans haven't stepped foot outside of their own country let alone most can't locate foreign countries on a map.

I'm an American, and the last thing I would want to do is judge another country when we have so many problems here at home. Not to mention our failed foreign policies that we continue to blindly follow and fail to learn by our mistakes. The U.S. has stood on the bully pulpit for way too long and many countries are getting tired of being dictated too. I don't blame them, and I'm sure if the shoe was on the other foot, many Americans would be vehemently opposed to having another country telling us what we should be doing. Being the sole Super Power in the world doesn't give us the right to change a country's culture or their way of governing themselves.

We have massive economic problems, our corporations are buying out our politicians, sending jobs overseas because of higher profits and greed. Unless you have a job that pays your health care benefits, or if you're only making minimum wage or out of work and become sic, you're screwed. Our country expects us to use our children to defend and sacrifice them in time of war, yet they turn their backs on providing healthcare to their own citizens, and ignore returning health problems of our veterans. We're over taxed, and our children are being buried in a mountain of debt because of college loans. Our government spends more money on the military complex and foreign aid than their own people. Our education is failing and the way government talks, education isn't worth funding. They feel that an uneducated populace is good for society. Our government is slowly chiseling away our constitutional rights, and claim every conflict in the world is affecting America's interests. We have career politicians that care only about money and power. Our government is getting too big and is bent on creating laws that only create more hardships and take away personal freedoms from its citizens.

No we don't have room to talk.

I can say that I don't like the EU, but I do love Europe!

The EU Gov't will say one thing one minute and contradict itself the next. Hmmm...sounds a lot like the U.S. Gov't. And I can say that I'm not a big fan of them nowadays either.

Remember, some members here have never left their city/county/country their entire lives and base their opinions on whatever random encounter with a some guy with a funny accent and what the MSM tells them.

I try,
, to not respond to country bashing posts unless I see something that is just outright ignorant. Sometimes I can't help myself. But I find it is usually best to just move on when a post gets my goat.

Jest some advice from this here hillbilly to another furriner.
