Saw this linked off of ZeroHedge and found it interesting. Give it a go.

Do you know more about the news than the average American?

Test your knowledge of prominent people and major events in the news by taking our short 13-question quiz. Then see how you did in comparison with 1,052 randomly sampled adults asked the same questions in a national survey conducted online August 7-14 by the Pew Research Center. The new survey includes a mixture of multiple-choice questions using photographs, maps, charts, and text.

When you finish, you will be able to compare your News IQ with the average American, as well as with the scores of college graduates and those who didn’t attend college; with men and women; and with people your age as well as other ages.

10 out of 13. That places me in the 6% column. Grrr... I wanna know what I got wrong! (Correction here... After my wife took it, I saw we could scroll down. lol) Now I know what I missed, I don't feel quite so bad. lol... No one accused me of being a stock market expert for 1 of them.

GOOD catch! I'm going to send this around to others I know. It's actually tough enough to be meaningful for it's result!

I scored 91%! Not to bad for a drop out.

I read a story the other day that Sandra Day O'conner called many American citizens ignorant. She is absolutely right, and I might add that the average US citizen is also un-educated as well nowadays. They have no trade skills and expect to much from a piece of paper that they'll be paying for the rest of their lives.

College degree....Pffft!

Read that article too. You're right that she's right. Unfortunately many Americans are dumb as a post. She said it more diplomatically.

11/13.

I didn't know who the hell the Florida senator was, and I thought the number of women in congress was 30%, when it was really 20%.

I laughed when it showed a picture of Snowden, and asked, "Who dat?" I would wager 95% or greater of serious ATS users know Snowden on sight, lol.

You answered 11 of 13 questions correctly.

Eleven seems to be a pretty standard score. I missed the Florida senator, and the president of Yahoo.

I admit that there were a couple I just blind guessed on so a little less news IQ a bit more dumb luck

8 our of 13 and I'm not even American

Answered 1,3,4,5,7,9,11 & 13 correct. The others were basically just for Americans only, unless you're very savvy of American politics I doubt many none-Americans will be able to answer them.

Never the less, nice test

Scored 8/13, not bad for an Australian.

Found the questions regarding senators/judges difficult and my guess's where wrong.

I was surprised i scored 65% higher than the American public.
