Just to keep you guys in the loop.

So the Abbott government has won in australia. This translates to a victory for the globalists, murdoch has wanted abbott in from the start. What it means here, for us, is cuts to government, cuts to welfare, cuts to pretty much everything that doesnt benefit the 1%.

Many people have warned against this cancer, I see that possibly we can make real changes based on our new governments inconsistencies and all round anti human policies.

We have been done over.

The gloablists now control the Australian government. And don't tell me its always been this way, it hasn't, we're now in a whole new pot of #

ETA: I voted about midday with the abbott gov being my last preference.

Wow... what. Abbott actually won. That is extremely unexpected to me because I know hardly anyone who actually likes Abbott and there was so much campaigning against him by the Labor party. I'm worried because he's so egotistical, but he seems to take a less socialist stance on things than most Australian politicians, and I'm very interested to see how that will affect the economy and the value of the AU dollar.

Landslide victory to the coalition.

Not sure how this is a surprise?

It's been a no brainer since the first election was announced by Gillard.

And no, no one likes Abbot, but he has a whole cabinet to answer to.

I.. I just still don't know how the hell so many people were blinded by the LNP lies and let Abbott get into power. I'm genuinely shocked by what happened over the course of the day.

It's well and truly going to tear our country apart... these next three years are going to be hell.

He wont cut much ...isn't the agenda to have huge debt . I could suggest they cut their wages and their generous life pensions after they leave office . That could help the country save .

Labours job was to make this huge debt and Liberals part will be too ?

I'm in Canberra. It's a sad day indeed, that such a man will sit in the seat of power in my city

That is all labor and Rudd could - whine AbbottAbbottAbbott.

Australians were sick of labor's policy on illegal boat people - actually their lack of policy, sick of labor's infighting - Rudd was elected PM, then stabbed in the back by Gillard, but she was so bad as PM that Rudd stabbed her in the back and was again PM, sick of labor's constantlies, eg the Carbon tax etc.

It is the lowest vote for labor in more than 100 years.

I don't exactly think it was a no brainier, the actions of most people are heavily influenced by their emotions and personal feelings and they don't think far enough to take into consideration that he has to answer to a whole cabinet, they just don't vote for him because they don't personally like him. But then again I have never once voted because I see it as a rigged and pointless game, so I'm not exactly an expert on Australian politics. I probably know more about American politics to be honest due to the fact it's discussed so much on ATS.

That is a good point, maybe people just got sick of the Labor party whining about Abbott that everyone actually did the opposite of what they were being told. In my experience though the masses tend to be easily persuaded by repetitive messages from the current administration so I'm surprised it backfired on them so harshly.

But I also think your other points about the "boat people" (man I hate that term
) and the carbon tax are also very valid. The carbon tax was just a pile of steaming crap and it has increased all our power bills dramatically in a very short time. That's at least one good thing which will come of this.

You've never voted? That's awful

Granted, if you're not informed enough to decide, then it becomes a bit more difficult, but still, a vote still counts, whether you believe in the system or not, the system still affects you.

Let's just hope for a double-dissolution. That'll sort everything out.

No one likes tony abbott. Its a shame people are more concerned with their bank balance than human rights. its criminal.

The boat situation isn't going to get better under Abbott. People keep claiming that the Libs stopped the boats last time... all that happened is that we sent warships to stop them landing. The boats never stopped.

As to everything else, Labor has maintained a strong economy, the debt has come from expansion of infrastructure, and as such, is not a debt, but an investment.

Now we're going to be ruled by Murdoch and Gina the Hutt. Oh, and Clive Palmer is going to destroy the largest coral reef in the world. Soon it'll be the Great Barrier Coal Canal.

He's a Liberal. Which, from what I understand of foreign politics, he's the opposite of what most western countries call Liberal.
Get onto youtube and watch any of his speeches, or listen to any of the political debates. The information on his personal policies is somewhat patchy and disjointed, almost like he had an idea, and is just filling in the gaps and making the rest up as he goes. It's genuinely astounding that he managed to remain the Opposition leader for so long.

Look its massive.

They basically want to cut all aid to everyone, they're anti gay marriage, anti forests (they've pledged to cut down loads of forests that are currently in the protected status.) They are all about big business, its about cutting government jobs and supporting the mining billionaires that operate here. He is a bankster mouthpiece, he works for murdoch and big business. DONT BE CONFUSED!

Well heck, sounds like a wonderful start.

Wish I could get some of this out of my government.
