The caveat is that this comes from someone who has little understanding of nuclear processes so take with a grain of salt.

You "did an analysis of the damage to the building".

What exactly is involved in that 'process'?

Its called environmental investigation. If you read the old thread you understand how to do it.

Here is but one example.

This member has posted quite a bit regarding blast analysis of the debris supporting a lot of what zworld has posted about.

There is a wealth of information in the old thread which would be wise to peruse.

Thanks J&C. I was going to go back and try and find that and some other stuff. But the best idea if someone were really interested is as you say to go over the old thread, especially the later stuff when the pieces began to fall in place. Way too much information to try and pass on at this stage.

Also, SimplyInfo has posted an excellent map of the compound (I mean nuclear plant hahaha) for reference at farm9.staticflickr.com...

This is a joke. from ENE, TEPCO is blaiming the massive increase in radionuclides entering the ocean as coming from the roof of Unit 2. Yeah....right?

Japan Times, Feb 26, 2015: [Tepco] admitted Thursday that its latest problem with radioactive water has shattered the trust it was building in Fukushima… and that the decommissioning of the Fukushima No. 1 plant might be delayed [after] the surge in radiation detected in the water draining into the sea… The utility said the source of the contamination is the roof of the No. 2 reactor building, which… remains heavily contaminated.

A follow up to TEPCOs Unit 2 story causing all the problems. From the dairy;

"At this moment, Tepco has nothing better than sandbag and blue sheeting to stop extremely contaminated water flowing to the sea, Tepco reported on 3/2/2015.

It is the water that they detected 29,400,000 Bq/m3 of Cs-134/137 from.

According to Tepco, they installed sandbags at TWO drainage outlets on 2/27/2014. On 3/2/2015, they covered the roof with blue sheeting. The superposing section was even taped.

It is not announced how they plan to drain rainwater retained on the blue sheeting.

Tepco states even though the sandbag contains zeolite, it is a provisional measure. They plan to remove the main contamination source but it has not been identified yet."

That last sentence had me cracking up. Now there is something that they can't identify that is causing all the radioactive pollution going into the ocean. What a bunch of jokers. Forget the possibility of an underground factory. Forget the fact that massive amounts of corium are eating there way through the earth. Theres something on top of Unit 2 that is the real concern.

Nobody is that stupid. Are they?

ENE has a story on the growing levels of Fuku rads in fish along the westcoast, especially Strontium 90 a beta emitter. At the same time beta readings are still off the hook in California in the few stations that are operating. And our governments response is to refuse to test for these substances, turn off beta stations monitoring radiation, and plead for more money for Homeland Security because some terrorist might have a dirty bomb and expose us all to levels of radiation like the rads they refuse to protect us from coming from Fukushima.

It reminds of that old Chevron commercial where they show children playing in flowers near an oil rig and say “Do people care, yes they do”.

Yeah......right?

Fukushima News 12/18/14: Beyond Nuclear Director-"Fukushima Is Out Of Control" - YouTube

Debris removal begins along coast of Futaba town

Published on Dec 18, 2014

Work to remove debris from the March 2011 tsunami has begun along the coast of Futaba Town in Japan's Fukushima Prefecture.

An evacuation order is still in place for the town since the accident there at the damaged Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant. Japan's government is responsible for removing the debris.

On Wednesday morning, government-appointed workers began clearing the roughly 200-hectare area. They loaded driftwood and housing material onto trucks using construction machinery, and took it to a provisional storage site.

The Environment Ministry estimates the amount of debris in the area at 5,500 tons. The area is designated for preparation for the lifting of the evacuation order, where radiation levels there are relatively low. Removal of the debris would enable decontamination work and hopefully speed up the area's reconstruction.

South Korean experts visit Fukushima Daiichi plant

South Korean experts have visited the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant to study the possible resumption of seafood imports from Fukushima and other prefectures.

The 7 experts toured the plant for about 2 hours on Wednesday. They were accompanied by officials from the Japanese government and plant operator Tokyo Electric Power Company. They studied the contaminated water processing system known as ALPS and other facilities.

A Japan fisheries ministry official said he believes the tour helped show the experts that substantive measures have been taken to prevent contaminated water leaks.

South Korea banned seafood imports from Fukushima and 7 other prefectures in September of last year.

Japan Changes Renewable Energy Program; First Hydrogen Fueling Station in Tokyo Opens - YouTube

Japan’s Utilities Fight Back Against Renewable Energy | The Diplomat

A potential conflict is brewing surrounding the government’s feed-in tariff scheme for renewable energy sources like solar and wind. Japan’s major utility companies are balking at the government program, which gives companies that provide these energy sources to utilities the right to charge artificially high prices. This is done as an incentive for them to develop new and larger projects that could help to partially wean Japan from its dependence on fossil fuels, now that its nuclear industry is offline and not expected to return to its former strength.

Japan's government has announced a major change in its program for asking power companies to buy electricity generated from renewable energy sources.

The new policy was announced at a meeting of an advisory panel of the Economy and Industry Ministry on Thursday.

Under the plan, utilities are to be able to stop buying electricity generated using solar and wind power if they see a risk of oversupply due to unpredictability involved in the 2 sources.

The utilities would turn down offers of solar power produced by households as well as businesses.

Utilities would still be obliged to purchase electricity generated through the more predictable methods of geothermal and small-scale hydraulic power generation.

Utilities have been obliged to accept essentially all offers of electricity generated through renewable sources.

Since September, many of the country's utilities started limiting their purchases of solar power, citing a destabilizing oversupply.

The ministry plans to implement the change in mid-January by amending a relevant ordinance.

Army Claims it’s too Dangerous to Clean Up Radioactive Weapons Test Site in Indiana

Fifty years of firing radioactive munitions by the U.S. Army has left a large swath of Southern Indiana toxic and dangerous: More than 160,000 pounds of depleted uranium projectiles and millions of artillery shells have been left behind, unexploded, at the firing range.

The Army, however, is showing no signs of cleaning up the mess. In fact, it appears to be trying to walk away from the problem altogether, leaving local residents at potential risk.

Extensive damage slows Fukushima storage pool fuel removal

Jiji Press
FUKUSHIMA (Jiji Press) — Beginning in fiscal 2015, Tokyo Electric Power Co. plans to begin removal of fuel assemblies from one of the storage pools at its Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant, which was left crippled four years ago in Japan’s worst nuclear accident.

In the No. 3 reactor pool are 514 spent fuel assemblies and 52 unused assemblies. “Removing all fuel bundles from pools in the No. 3 and No. 4 reactors would substantially lower the level of risk at the plant,” says Toyoshi Fuketa, acting head of the Nuclear Regulation Authority.

Removal of fuel assemblies from the No. 4 reactor pool was completed in December.

However, work to begin emptying the No. 3 reactor pool of assemblies has been slow due to the extensive damage the reactor building suffered from a hydrogen explosion that occurred shortly after the nuclear power plant was hit by the 9.0-magnitude earthquake and subsequent monster tsunami on March 11, 2011. A lot of debris remains in the storage pool alongside the assemblies.

Among the debris is a 35-ton piece of equipment used to exchange fuel assemblies. Its presence is a major obstacle to beginning the removal work.

TEPCO initially planned to take it out this month but has postponed the procedure until April, according to company officials.

Guys, this is pretty incredible if true. I need to take us back to the end of 2011, I think it was then, when AC spotted the outflow line at the north end of Fukushima, running past Unit 6, that TEPCO would never admit to or discuss. If the story below is about the same outflow line, ACs investigative work would have proven that TEPCO knew about this outflow from day one. And it sure sounds like the right place. If anyone sees any pictures of it, the old ones AC posted should be checked to see if its the same line.

The other thing that comes screaming to mind is where would this contamination be coming from since 5 and 6 supposedly survived the tsunami.

From the Dairy

On 3/4/2015, Tepco admitted another drain has been letting highly contaminated water flow to the Pacific since when 311 took place. The drain outlet is situated outside of the plant port.

Drained contaminated water has been directly discharged to the sea. Tepco became aware of this fact last April, but kept concealing for nearly one year.

It is the drain located in the North part of Fukushima plant. It runs beside Reactor 5 and 6. The outlet is just outside of the North end of the port.

As long as Tepco announces, they have been taking the data of contamination level since 4/16/2014 weekly. Their data showed both of Cs-134/137 density and All β nuclide density (including Strontium-90) jumped up every time it rained. 200,000 Bq/m3 of All β nuclide density has been measured. Strontium-90 has almost never been tested for some reason, but 3,300 Bq/m3 has been measured.

Tepco hasn’t announced why they didn’t publish the analysis data for almost one year.
