The currents of economic power constantly shift from Europe to England to the US now to China and SE Asia...India is looming and next in line if they
can get their acts together will be the middle east and Africa...probably next century then South America...
The US over the next 100 years will be so tangled up in the economic mess it has created for itself by passing the buck in failing to resolve the
Social Security/Medicare mess and massive deficits that its time as an economic power will gone before this century reaches the half way mark and all
we will have left will be the military...and that will fade too for the same reasons our economic power will.
The American century is over and we would be far better off if our so called leaders accepted it and stopped acting if it was still in full force.
Sadly despite dreams to the contrary there never was a pax Americana...even Rome managed 200 years of stablity, prosperity and peace.

China would not dare attack the US. While China has nukes, the US nukes are more accurate and tey could simply fire one right into the Communist HQ
