Glenn Beck: We should all get along but progressives should be hunted down like Nazis

Glenn Beck, the heir apparent to Pat Robertson and all around funny guy paraphrases Rodney King's famous quote that we should all just get along. Then in Beck-like fashion he modifies it with his uncanny perspective.

Erstwhile Fox News personality Glenn Beck gave a head-scratcher of an interview to the New York Times that appeared on Friday. In it, the former far-right radio host turned Internet entrepreneur claimed that he wants Americans to stop dividing themselves and get along, then went on to say that he wants to hunt down progressives like an Israeli Nazi hunter because they are “the biggest danger to the world” who inevitably leave “millions dead.”

Now there are quite a few Progressives on ATS but I never suspected they were “the biggest danger to the world” who inevitably leave “millions dead.” That's quite a statement, even for Beck.

That said it's a good thing Glenn is trying to tone it down.

Beck has been trying to soften his strident image of late as he attempts to take his Internet production company back on to the television airwaves as a cable network. In recent months he has made a series of statements indicating that he regrets his role in dividing society into warring ideological camps

He was then questioned about his polarized statements by New York Times reporter Amy Chozick.

“But you said you were going to hunt down progressives like an Israeli Nazi hunter,” Beck immediately railed against his perceived enemies on the left.

“Oh, I will,” he assured her. “I think these guys are the biggest danger in the world. It’s the people like Mao, people that believe that big government is the answer, it always leads to millions dead — always.”

Well most of us know about Glenn. True to form he rambles on about other perceived slights and indignities but I'll leave that to anyone who cares to read the rest of the article. This was just meant as a heads up to all ATS Progressives that GB thinks you're a Nazi and plans to hunt you down. Be vigilant.

Rolling back the clock only makes sense for those that are ignorant of history. Progress is the only chance this world has.

Of course, that won't stop provocateurs from making a buck.

Im with him on this one, they will be the eventual downfall of this Nation.
Theyve actually already set the wheels in motion by electing this pathetic excuse of a person
as the leader (hard to say that with a straight face) of this once great country.

Will he do like the Nazis hunters? You know wait till the person is so old and feeble that they can't defend themselves?

Both parties will be the downfall of this nation. They have had control for the last 150 years and they have totally failed. To try to blame just one party for the shape this country is in is just a cop out for admitting your own parties failures.

Being it's Beck the answer is probably yes. I can picture him old and feeble chasing after them too.

So he says that we shouldn't divide ourselves into groups and should get along then immediately divides a section of the population into a group and advocates violence against them? WOW! You know I'd like to write something sarcastic and witty to make fun of him, but I am literally speechless at this. I mean most people when they contradict themselves at least use two different conversations to do so, but man... Just wow...

Beck sure became a hateful little troll, didn't he? He didn't start that way. He didn't always seem to define himself by what he hated and feared. He's come to be all about those things though, and little else it would seem.

If Bozo there hasn't gotten the newsflash most other conservatives have registered over the last several years? Well, I don't know how to break it to him. We are not an overwhelming majority in this nation. The other side is not an overwhelming majority in this nation. We learn to WORK TOGETHER...even if we VERY strongly disagree...or we accept that we'll fall and die together...in ruin, likely poverty and overall defeat across all levels.

Is it worth "winning" the battle of ideas among fellow citizens......so both sides of those citizens can then fight over who gets the top bunk in their barracks at the FEMA camp??

Beck was once a man I considered promising for solutions or leading people to find them. I really did...years ago. Now? He's become the problem, not any sort of solution for it.

Yeah he did. Used to watch him a bit on Fox long ago before he lost it. I think he began scamming too many stories from InfoWars and then only picked the really far out stuff. Wonder if he believes Progressive = Reptilian?

Maybe what he meant was that after all the progressives are hunted down everyone could get along.

So you basically agree that people with a different political opinion than you should be hunted down like Nazis? Last I checked, political opinions, through the First Amendment and stare decisis of the US Supreme Court decisions, have consistently been considered a protected right in the US. It's our first right in the Bill of Rights. There are people in this country with whom I have a completely opposite political opinion from but that's their right and I don't traipse on beyond debating with them. I wouldn't hunt them down because that'd be unamerican.

The problem is my friend, Beck is coming only one hair width from openly advocating precisely what caused those body counts from Mao and his little red book as well as the Soviets insuring a pure population in idealism and political doctrine.

It's been so sad to watch him devolve and unsettled feelings about him became confirmed lunacy in my mind after his first big shindig in Israel with his big speech to the masses in Jerusalem. He almost came off as if he believes himself to be destined for a notable role in End Times theology. It worries me...and would outright disturb me if Beck had any true and direct power. The influence he has is bad enough given how dark and cold he's become.

Its not the political opinions im talking about per se, its the trying to force their opinions on us through executive actions, orders and intimidation.
Every time that Obama doesnt get his way he stomps his feet, throws a fit then he has his pet Eric Holder sue, he has the IRS scrutinize them or he exercises his "executive privilege"

There were many things "pushed" on others during other presidents era as well.
