I was just thinking today that if all ATS members would participate we could possibly spread the popularity of the website.

My idea is to advertise on the back of the dollar bill like so:

Interesting idea. I don't know if it is legal/illegal now, but as a long time Numismatist I can tell you people have been doing this to money since it was practically invented. It's called "Counterstamping" and throughout history people have been doing this as a way to broaden the scope of their business area to gain potential customers.

We could always stick a photo of the Pixy Baby on the front, and an ATS sticker beside the pic

Better than rating it against the Greenback, I'm in.

no, its not. It falls under the "defacing government property" catergory. Though, I doubt anyone would enforce that charge for something little like that.

I have heard that it is illegal to "deface" money in this way, but I'm not positive.

I think it would be a cool idea nonetheless; I'll start defacing mine tonite.

BTW, thats a nice liar's poker hand you've got there BJ. I have 4 eights and 3 nines. can you beat that?

Peace,
BG

I'd call you on that one.

It's legal. I use to do it back in 98 when the net was a booming.

My brother is in the arcade business so we use to run all the bills through a stamper counter.

Of all the hundreds of thousands of bills we stamped I never got one back in the circulation.

Actually, its a Federal Reserve note and the FR are (as far as I know) a private organisation. So technically it shouldn't fall under the category of 'Defacing govt. property'. So feel free to stick pix of the Pixy Baby on every note that falls into your hands

heh, that is one of the ways I've used to promote my web page as well as other web pages that I've enjoyed. Yep ATS is one of the sites I'd list.

I am glad you brought this to light, BlackJackel.

I like the Idea.

But I also like the Idea of people getting here by stumbling across it.
They are usually already interested in something that ATS has to offer
Thats how I found it..

Of course it's not my biz to run...

I wonder if we could somehow tie it into the conspiracies that surround this seal?

I thought that they have a movie coming out about that mess right now...so as that gets watched, you could put the addy on parts people would look at thinking, what if?

You could take out Annuit Coeptis and replace it with abovetopsecret.com.

Just copy the letters and the background to a photoshop program, edit out the letters, type in "abovetopsecret.com," and print it in the right spot on the dollar.

It doesn't have to be exactly the right spot, just close to it.

if it;s too close, then people may use it as a counterfit...so be careful!

You don't copy the entire thing, just the part with the text on it. It's legal tender just with something printed on it. No different than marking it with a pen.
