The fake world of celebrity

Okay my rant goes like this....

DOES ANYONE REALISE THAT ALL THIS CELEBRITY WORSHIP IS PATHETIC?

I am sooooooooooo sick of it the tabloids and the news thinking humans are sooo sad and so liveless that they have nothing else other than to worship some quite frankly not the most talented people on the planet.

And that goes for ALL of them. I don't find ONE SINGLE CELEBRITY to be truly talented. Talented at being annoying YES, talented at getting attention absolutely.

But there are sooooooo few celebrities who are genuinely interesting.

Anyone feel the same way?

Sometimes I feel very sad to live in these times with no real hero's/role models. Just materialism and fakery. Looks based nonsense.

I hate celebrities!!!
I never knew what Lady Gaga,Christina Aguilerra (whatever her name is) or many many celebrites until I came here and saw alot of people posting threads about them....it makes me puke in my mouth a little.

Still never even seen Star Wars.

The fact that most here like that stuff tells me I am not among like minded people.
I never knew what Miley Cyrus looked like until some idiot made a thread about her.

I hate the word sheep and never use it but this time,I am saying it.

I love watching a good movie, I download and watch movies pretty much every day. There are also certain actors that I like and dislike, the ones that I absolutely dislike are the arrogant ones that try to use their celebrity status to sway voters in elections.. Morgan Freeman falls under this category, I really like his acting but his Obama brown nosing disgusts me.
Also, it seems like getting pregnant is "in" for the female celebrities now. I cant tell you how sick the freaking death I am of hearing about Kim and Kanyes new born brat.
Oh and the damn royals in the UK. For a freaking year before the wedding all I heard about was the Prince, Kate and her ignorantly named sister Pippa.
Then a few months ago, you had these star struck idiots camping outside of the hospital in tears waiting to see the newborn prince brat.
I find all of this celebrity worship a little weird if you ask me.

I never did watch any of the reality shows. Just found them to be too stupid for words. I watch mostly documentaries like "The Nature of Things", etc. I find these shows to be far more interesting then watching some moron get his/her butt waxed. I gave up listening to the radio years ago because there was nothing on but bubblegum pop. I literally have not listened to any songs from any of todays so-called artists. I do not know who these people are and I really don't wish to know.

I too wonder why people even bother posting about celebrity, because anything they post about them is based on " news" and the news twists and turns things all the time! So we never get to hear the truth... that's the fact of the matter.

Anyone who knows or has met a celebrity knows half the stuff written about them is utter clap trap!

And what's worse is the way they are " presented " to us. As tough guys, beautiful or what ever and they ARENT! They are utterly hollow.

I think it all depends on what makes that person a celeberty. For instance if your a celeberty that flashes your (****) because you too drunk to realize it and you gain fame for that(im looking at you paris)

or if your some kid that just happened to have famous parents that got you connected into the biz(Im looking at u kim,and miley)

or the ones that sign a direct deal with the devil to gain fame and money(im looking at u shakira, gaga, JayZ, beyonce)

then i completely agree with your rant.

On the other hand I think there are genuinely funny and talented people out there that were born to entertain and realized it. and went for it, and now there famous. and these are he ones that you dont see all over the tabloids. So dont hate all because of a few bad seeds.

Thats why I have a hard time with movies.
Watching George Clooney or William Shatner pretend he is an ass kicker is patronizing to me and i have a hard time getting by it.

I stick to comedy,I get a more genuine laugh from it.
Also,if watching this crap makes me walk around saying "I'll be back" or "Luke I am your father" like a bunch of dumbasses than I would rather not be like that.
I see how dumb it is when others do it so why bother.

I think Celebrity, Royalty, politician or any other human idolatry worship is a mental disorder.

I think one day people will begin to worship ANYTHING, even a dogs bottom has more appeal than many of the celebrities. And I think maybe, this is where things are leading to

I think celebrities spoil it when they show their arrogance.

If you haven't got it leave I say - but no they stay use plastic surgery to fake it some more. They are just vile examples many of them. Not all.... I certainly don't regard them to be all bad.

But talentlessness is becoming in vogue.

Very patronising. I've noticed some of the most popular films have also the worst acting.

Its as if the minimal rubbish acting is the hit maker.

All celebrities can do better and wont due to the on going worship of them...

They are also given things everything clothes, perfume line, book line.. its a huge industry of nonsense.

I would go as far to say a lot of comedians are also very unfunny but people are mesmerised/ entranced.

I quit keeping up with the 'celebrity scene' in the mid 90's. That was about the time reality shows and reality 'stars' exploded and music was replaced by eardrum rupturing music. Too many 15 minutes-of-famers running around and turn-key singers.

There was an article just this morning about the things some stars include in their contracts like bowls of only red M&M's or glasses of Evian with exactly 3 ice cubes. What a bunch of entitled, talentless idiots.

Gosh I blame you not in the least and sadly you haven't missed much. I think there are a few outlets or websites that show music from unknown artists, much better!

Plus the repetitive rubbish they throw out there, has no meaning. Its a real disappointment.

I might join you one of these days, opt out of following any current musicians.

I have been feeling like an outcast that I never follow anything in the media. Because Americans worship celebrities like they're perfect godlike beings. I cannot believe people are so foolish. Sad reality.

Due to reality Tv shows there is also a generation of celebrities who are famous for no reason and the public love them and they do NOTHING. All they do is cover shoots, shout, be rude and over bearing desire for attention.

Its crazy is it not?

It seems the more talented a person, the less they are desired and I wonder why this is nowadays. One would think its conspiracy but its the actual PUBLIC who make this possible.
