Have been lurking here for five years and consider this one of my favorite independent news sources.. The camels back finally broke when I surfed through google news science section tonight, saw a ridiculous headliner "scientists finally discover that tiny frog hears thru its mouth" and couldn't believe my eyes, we actually spend money on this #??? Anyway glad to be here hope to meet like minded people

Like you, I can't count the number of times I've seen a news source show up on ATS due to some member finding it and 3-5 days later it shows up on the MSM.

That's nothing. Many years back I remember seeing a bit in the paper that read something along the lines of:
"Scientists discover how to make the perfect sandwich"
.....Money well spent...
If think it consisted of bread, butter, cheese and ham.
