Well it shows how they had so many possibilities for going to war, but are only doing it now (or at least trying to)...
Which means (you're on ATS, so a DUH is legit here) they have an agenda that they're furthering, masking it with this "Oh my Gosh, look what they're doing to those poor Syrians" attitude.
