Yah he put out a hypothetical scenario in the senate hearing today, sayin he couldn't rule out the presidents use of boots on the ground in the event of say el-nusra getting their hands on some chemical weapons.

Well the truth is Al Nursa already has chemical weapons and he along with Washington DC know this. So again, they're full of spit, spitting out half truths and lies to promote another false war/conflict.

When are we going stop this nonsense and hang the politicians, and their friends, responsible for these war crimes?

I dony believe Iran would risk giving Israel an excuse to invade them. I do think thwy will help Syria however they can and maybe using back channels and certain militant orgs.

Damn good question...

My best guess is the people who voice their concerns can do only that, meanwhile the "leaders" will continue to do what they want anyway, so perhaps the only way for reform is come from the inside out.

What that means, I don't know.

Israel wants nothing more than to get involved both with Syria and Iran. Once they do Russia will hit Israel as they have already stated that they would do so. Israel believes that the US will protect them but in this case I believe Israel will do something that causes the US to back away. Should Damascus use chem on Israel the response most likely will be a nuke from Israel hitting Damascus. The US would be forced to renounce Israel but may try and defend it by other means.

There is no option that will bode well for the US or the ME once the military hardware starts flying. China may very well get involved in Iran due to vast interests there and right now the Dragon has a ravenous appetite for oil and resources.

Financially the US is sunk and China is worse off than the US was in 08. Over the past few years China has gone on a resource grab globally to shore up their shaky position. Say what you will on how China will not get involved but they are very opportunistic. The US is spread thin and haggard by over a decade of war and without public support. A prime candidate for defeat.

Attacking Syria is a great idea...NOT!!!

I guess it will create a lot of new jobs replacing our warships.
That depressing thought may get us out of our depression.

Yeah, but the thing about that is... who is going to pay American workers to build them and pay for this escalated war? The government will just have to make up some paper to do that. I mean what are they going to do now? Borrow it from China?
Get it from Europe?

I realize they can do these things anyway with the stroke of a pen but it will just get us deeper in debt with the other government programs... so that is one thing that tells me if they get involved in this, they are going for broke... because they are already broke... and they want to rewrite the system. That's why I really feel they are trying hard to engage Iran, for it's oil... and probably Russia too, for being a protector of their prey and the holder of one of the biggest energy companies that feeds gas into europe.

So, now we see that Russia is going to make sure Syria has armed itself. Vocally, Russia is not just doing this for the money and are outspoken about the fact they think the US is lying (strong words), but even if they were doing it for the weapons deals and sit back and do nothing, it will still play right into their hand... because they know the US won't walk away from a hard smack from Syria. It will have to dump a lot more into this endeavor and get deeply involved.

Russia may get involved if between Syria and Iran the US and Israel gets the best of them, or it may step in just as soon as major military activity from the US and Israel gets rolling. Either way... this will exhaust the US. The people don't want the war and we're going for broke here. What do you think that is going to amount to?

The only way that feeding this war could effect our economy in a good way is if the US gets it's way hands down. It's going to have to go all the way, you see...and WIN and no one will see any upturns until that happens (not that I'm rooting for them but they are fixing to make things really hard on the American people and I'm just pointing out what this is going to do to us even if it never hits home physically)....It's going to have to go through both Syria AND Iran, which is going to be nasty even if Russia and China sits back and watches. I think China plans on fortifying it's own borders due to terrorism spill throughs...and so far, it has been handling it or it would already be bad by now. Russia could get involved or it could just sit back and watch us exhaust our resources for a while. Saudi Arabia will probably get involved which is an uptick for the US but Egypt is a wildcard...although I still think they've had it with the west. I really do.

Either way, we are behind the 8 ball with this.

If they don't rethink this and just take their damn losses with the economy, there's not going to be an upside.
This won't be WWll. Hitler went a little wacky and didn't play his hand well. The current opponents of the US are much more together and there numbers are far greater than in wwll. They have been patient and it's allowed them to work up a really REALLY good hand.

Our leaders need to be in padded rooms if they don't see it.

Russia just wants to test there missiles. they like the US uses allies to test there weapons systems.

they did it in Vietnam and we did it with Israel. in Vietnam it did not take long for the US to counter there weapons

The joke is the US is watching for there missiles in Syria and will likely hit them on the ground still in there launchers. If not we have counter measures on the ships that will take the missiles out.

France 24 on tv is reporting Putin has cancelled sending the S-300 missile system. Apparently they have up to this point only sent some components? Interesting development, looks like Russia is going to watch for now, and is also reportedly willing to support a limited strike if it is PROVED Assad did indeed use chemical weapons. I saw some criticism yesterday about the UN option not being exhausted so maybe Putin heard that and heard the rhetoric about Russia being pro chemical weapons use and decided to change his tone.

Well, even the military was talking about how Syria has modern weapons, this is something that I'm not even sure John Kerry is aware of. I've been watching CNN, and a lot of military leaders are acting a bit hesitant about this, thinking it is not going to be as simple as John Kerry thinks.

Apparently the political climate in Washington D.C. is not one where people are allowed to talk openly, because no one is even mentioning Syria's ability to strike back, I'm not even sure if people know about it.

That would be a positive development, especially if the United States actually takes a deep breath and shows the evidence and presents a case to the U.N. and Russia before striking.

Not quite true, Iran are the ones that have stated they will attack Israel if the US attacks Syria. For the most part Israel are keeping out of it for now. So the opposite of what you said is true. Just stating facts here.

Russia is shadowing the American and French ships, and will act as an early warning system to Syria ahead of any strike,Russia will not openly engage or get militarily involved in the Syrian conflict at least initially , but it will provide arms and aid to Syria as needed.

It's funny, but I think Russia is in it because of petroleum. But not the way some would think.

Russia has plenty of their own oil, so they don't need it from the Persian Gulf region. But what they do like is to keep Western Europe buying thier oil. (Russia is sitting on wealth in terms of resources, but since they don't have means or desire to produce like China does - they use a different way of projecting power economically.)

U.S. also gets the majority of its energy resources from elsewhere. However that doesn't mean U.S. is out of the picture economically either. There are some Persian Gulf countries that would make healthy sized arms purchases from U.S. manufacturers and make contracts with U.S. based security services. One caveat, they want to get that pipeline up into Europe.

Geographically, guess who sits you-know-where?

Or maybe that's a dumb hypothesis, but it's as good an explanation as any that I could come up with. (And I'm likely not the only one to speculate this.)

No, I think you are at least partially right. With Russia's gas and oil there is a policy that Russian citizens get it cheaper than Europe. I'm sure this eats some up even though they can do that fair and square. Russia knows that the more oil they control, the more global influence they will have. They know this game is about controlling the current version of gold... which is oil. This keeps them from being pushed around in the international community.

that is where the US and those who control the western oil industries are worried. You see, western economies are very inflated right now. This is bad for global business and could mean less and less partnerships over time...and it all goes back to inefficiency. The banks, the oil industries and the government are extremely wasteful and so is the US in general. If you go to a store looking for a bargain, you know you are not looking for brands that are overpriced because the companies that make them employ more "desk jockeys" than it does actual workers, spends more time and money on meetings than it does quality control and it dumps piles of money into advertising campaigns when it could be spending that on better customer service, right?

Now look at our leaders, look at how our government is functioning.

Does any of that sound familiar?

the idiots don't even want to pay servicemen fairly but they want to talk war.
They are pulling all the wrong cards right now AS WELL as having a shaky economy.
The reason that many are still on board is to scrape anything that is left from this monster. They have many friends that are friends only in words, not actions.. and if they continue down this path, it will lead to financial ruin.

They cannot see all their mistakes because they cannot fathom any way to do a better job. All they know how to do is keep talking and keep going in front of the camera and keep paying intelligence way too much to come up with schemes. So if they can see no path in fixing their mistakes, then what do they do??? Point the finger of blame.... and the East is the West's nightmare. They think that to take a stab at an oil source for the East, they will keep that huge eastern oil monster from getting any bigger and they will regain control inch by inch in the middle east and they will do it by killing people.

Russia has known how to play their game for quite some time... that is why it has such an interest in oil.
It's their way of paying back those who have caused them the most problems and surrounded them and have tried to infiltrate with espionage and propaganda and have infiltrated Asian trade by force.

yeah... they have a stake in this... absolutely and they are simply playing a cleaner, better hand.

The US knows that a syrian strike is not going to stop the war... it is not going to do anything for the humanitarian issue and they could spend what they plan on spending in that endeavor on aid instead... but they didn't really give a crap about that.

And since we all know damn good and well that this could cause a much bigger conflict (SEEING AS HOW WE ARE HEARING IN THE FORM OF DIRECT WARNINGS FROM MULTIPLE COUNTRIES) they are still walking off the edge of the cliff like a blind, deaf, dumb zombie.

they're dumb but not THAT dumb.

They are not afraid to start a global war because they are not on the front line.
If a global war gets started, they will just hit as hard as they can at the opposing side to try to knock it's expanding economy back down. Either way, they think this is an opportunity for them no matter what. No risk is too great to not be the ones responsible for this mess in the history books, because the winners write the history and all they have to do is make phone calls to make missiles fly.

And what of the judgment of God?

These people don't believe in God.

If they believed in God, then they might actually be concerned that God hears their lies and we can see that this never seems to cross their minds at all.

They want a war...and they are not opposed to a big war no matter what they say to get others on board... as long as they think they can win and as long as they can blame other people and as long as the history books like the ones that have filled us full of lies write them in as the great leaders and officials that proudly commanded that war. To go down in history that way, no matter what the cost of life is, is their biggest wet dream.
