The situation in the middle-east is the fault of the United States. We brought it upon ourselves.

9/11 was just a slap on the wrist, it was what we deserved for what we have done to the middle east and the rest of the world.

Ok, i have noticed that noone is mentioning part of what is said in that article...Another member quoted it but I don't think he or anyone else addressed it properly, so let me quote it.

Scheuer says bin Laden was criticized by some Muslims for the 9/11 attack because he killed so many people without enough warning and before offering to help convert them to Islam. But now bin Laden has addressed the American people and given fair warning.

Hummm...so the Sheik is saying that the attacks would stop if Americans convert to Islam.....hummm..... How many of you want to convert to Islam?.... Not me, wether or not Saddam and whoever else threatens to use a nuclear bomb....

BTW.....all the people saying this would have not happened if we stayed in Afghanistan....unless you can see into the past all you are doing is "hoping" that's what would have happened.

I don't think anyone can say for sure they know that all these threats would have stopped if we stayed in Afgahnistan....or that Osama and other terrorists would not be threatening us at all even if we didn't go to Afgahnistan. Why you ask am i saying this?....well, let me quote why again..

These people won't stop until either we are all converted to Islam, or we take care of everyone of them. I think the choice is clear, and their reason for continuing to attack us have been clear for quite sometime, but a lot of people just don't want to believe this is what the terrorists want. By some of the responses I have seen in this thread and others, there are people who are hoping we can sit down and talk with the terrorists to solve all our differences and stop the violence....but it's not going to happen that way....

Again, what do you do when you are offered the choice of "either convert to Islam, or we are going to continue attacking you"?.....

Rest assured, our birds work fine from their orbit. If something is going on that is out of place, our government knows about it. BTW, the surveillance isn't done by optics in this case. However, from what I am told you could hold up a dime and have someone read the date off of it.

I'd be willing to bet that if we got hit with nukes, the Middle East is going to have one huge parking lot....

It's hard to say what the people would choose. On the one hand, I think that mass conversion to islam is impossible because of our nature. Look no further back than the last election; Christians being attacked for voting their moral values. So, no chance of converting us all, because we would become, as one poster put it "Theocratic subversives".

On the other hand, these same people who can't tolerate Christianity might very well embrace islam as "enlightened", and flock to it in droves.

My choice would be clear, though.

I really like this Ideal! Almost like a Dr. Evil kind of thing from a Austin Powers movie. Except the Dr. Evil name would have to be change to Dr. Good in this scenario .

The funny thing is America could do this if they wanted too. Trident submarines have been around for a long time, they would be useful for wiping out the radical Muslim countries.

Generally speaking, the folk who "can't tolerate christianity" can't tolerate any intolerant religion Which rules out the big 3 - christianity, islam & judaism. Enlightenment comes from within (cue new-agey dolphin music), not from a mean-spirited rule book from a spank-daddy god.

It doesn't seem to be true by the responses of many members in this forum. People are asking for the war on terrorism to stop, one of the things terrorists are demanding...and these people, at least most of them, seem to be willing to give in to these demands in order to "feel" safe.

Spain which has become very liberal since I lived there in the 1980s, is an example of a country giving in to the demands of terrorists... I do wonder, if Spain was given a direct choice by radicals to either choose to fight/die or convert to Islam, what would they choose?....

A lot of people in the world seem willing to give in to every terrorist demand in order to stop the attacks, yet they seem unwilling to fight.

if there was any nucleaur attack on any nation it would more than likely lead to a nucleaur relatliation. actually by judging bushs current decisions from 911 , attacking America with nukes would not be exactly wise on the part of the terrorists , seeing as half of Saudi Arabia would be annihilated as revenge.

if this is indeed reality , and if there was a nuke attack on the states it would basically mean the end for westen muslims, they would experience harsh persecution, would be rounded up in camps or exported back to their home muslim nations, and this would lead to a third world war on pure religious grounds like some masonic pipe dream ...put two opposing forces together to create a massive conflict out of destruction would come a new world blah blah blah.

i say to americans catch the terrorists before they plant the nukes , thats if you actually want to catch them seeing all the time thats past and they are still free to threaten you.

Why would Bush nuke half of Saudi Arabia when he and his family are buddies and business associates of the royal family.

This is also why they werent invaded when virtually all of the Sept 11th terrorists and all the funding came from SA too.

Who would bother for that little sum. It should be 20% of what the current war cost. Then I'm sure there would be some takers.

Even the Mega.Millions lottery is paying more then what 5 top terrorist would be worth. $126 Mil so spend a dollar you have a better chance of hitting that then of the U.S. ever getting OBL

Again the source is dubious! But I feel it necessary to provided you with all information available. You can completely disregard this piece of information if you would like. I however, think that while the information is probably only about 20% based on fact, feel that any tidbit that helps a reader put the puzzle pieces together is valuable.

We "USA/UK" are more at risk now from a possible Nuke attack than when we were in the "Cold War" era. The trigger finger is more itchy now than 20 years ago.

25 Million isn't much these days?....do you have 25 Million?.....

Man what amount of money do you earn that you are saying 25 million is not much?.....

You would have to be pretty dumb to spend 25 million within a few years without first making sure that at least half of that money is invested, so you don't go back being a middle class, or poor citizen within a few years....

Anyways, being truthfull now anwser this question, how many people would give in to this demand of "converting to Islam or face being attacked again"?.....I have noticed a lot of people are avoiding responding to this question...

If OBL spent half of his focus helping his followers learn how to be civil and stop brainwashing them back into the stone age, how much more positive and peacefull these peole would be? But I guess clinging from a camels tail with his teeth and slinging camel dung on everyone is his nich in society! There will come a day when the camel sits!
