I see, so transparency and access to information for everyone would be a great way to stop power plays. I would agree.

I have not doubted this for many years and the one that stuck out to me was Elliot Spitzer. In 2008 he gave this op ed in the Washington Post published Feb 14, 2008

Several years ago, state attorneys general and others involved in consumer protection began to notice a marked increase in a range of predatory lending practices by mortgage lenders.

Predatory lending was widely understood to present a looming national crisis. This threat was so clear that as New York attorney general, I joined with colleagues in the other 49 states in attempting to fill the void left by the federal government.

Not only did the Bush administration do nothing to protect consumers, it embarked on an aggressive and unprecedented campaign to prevent states from protecting their residents from the very problems to which the federal government was turning a blind eye.

They relate the sting to a client as of Feb 13, one day before the piece above was in the press. By March 12th he had resigned. Yet they said they had been watching him for 6 months and reported several clients over that period.

So it is all about the timing. They had the evidence but chose to use it after he spoke out publicly that the govs. had tried to warn the Pres only to have him push back harder.

No one is going to fix this problem except the people because our leaders have no integrity.

Oh, and if they can get at everything electronic, they can manage voting machines at will too.

2004 makes sense. It was the US Senate race here in Illinois. I remember the republicans tried to replace Jack Ryan with Alan Keyes but it was too late. Obama 70% vs Keyes 27%.

Our government is being controlled by someone that isn't elected.

We don't even who it is.

ETA: I am still waiting for Snowden to drop the hammer on them. Then we will be in for a world of crap.

Well, during the campaign in 2008, both Senators Clinton and Obama were summoned to a secret 3 day meeting.

All campaign stops were cancelled, both campaigns were bought to a screeching halt.

Neither Obama nor Clinton has said where they went or who they met with. It's been speculated that they were in Chicago but this was never confirmed.

Two extremely high profile candidates both disappear for an entire 3 day weekend during one of the busiest and nastiest campaigns in recent memory, and NO ONE knows where they went, not even their staffers.

I've been saying this for years.

The current president is following the same game plan as Bush.

The President is not in control of the situation. Someone else is.

Well there you have more confirmation with this guy.

Some pretty high profile politicos have suddenly decided to not seek re election. Barney Frank, Levin, Baucus.
All Dems, which is puzzling if the liberals have some kind of master plan to bring down the country and make it socialist. My theory, there is a plan to gut social spending in the very near future and that can't be done with too many liberals in office. They can't support it and still come across as being uncompromised. So they have to go. Maybe they'll come back after the deed is done. Have some repubs in to vote it through, villaify them, then bring in liberals to further the chaos and attack conservative issues and values. keep the citizerns reaaling and attack them from all sides and stab them in the back so they don't know who to blame.
These guys were blackmailed and had to play ball.

I'm sure those wiretaps got a boat load of info on Obama.
No doubt he's easily blackmailed by TPTB.

I was living in Ford County at the time I recall. And when I read this article in the Champaign New-Gazette about Obama was like OMG, this dude ... I never forgot it. Something just didn't seem right. But on an unexplainable sixth sense kind of way. this is it, just from another source.

www.washingtonpost.com...

Like that feeling you get... something really stinks.. the govt knows it and is preparing for war on two fronts.. against the world AND against its own people..

Interesting. Most of the people he talks about as being spied upon are part of the military industrial complex. Is it possible that our intelligence community is looking for dirt on potential leaders of the country to influence their positions? Might be good to defund that thing now.

It's a weird reality.

But in fact, blackmail and leverage are constant throughout the power plays. Also sex, skeletons and slaves tend to make a splash in the media - so that's where most blackmail comes from. What Tice, Edmonds and other are saying is: the most crooked officials get elected. That is the system, and the NSA unlimited surveillance capabilities simply kicked it up a few hundred notches. And it's not only the NSA - Tice specifically mentions the "upper echelons" of the intelligence community, the leaders. There aren't many of them around; they can either be controlled by a more shadowy group (which would be the True Conspiracy), or they can be the True Conspirators themselves. Either way, they're the ones that got together and picked Candidate Obama as their candidate. After all, they can choose because of the democratic system. Now, with almost unlimited information on anyone with a financial record and the ability to tap not only their phones, but associated phone numbers, it's only a matter of who gets their support. They don't need to guess anything; they can be sure that this or that person is their candidate. That is why the system feels broken. You only vote on people who are chosen to be voted on. Either by design, either by economic reasons (marketing) or simply by good-old propaganda, which can sell anything (such as hand-picked - by the "Black World") candidates.

The whole issue here lies right in the title of this website. Above Top Secret doesn't exist. There are only four levels of classification. Unclassified, Classified, Secret and Top Secret, and many caveats and bs. Compartimentalization is the key; take a good look at Snowden's documents and you'll see the keyword: Keyhole. Why keyhole? Why this word? Well, that is what Concept X is talking about: it's all about controlling the privacy of the individual. It has always been. But now, we have a few escapes. A few options, if very little. We must hold on to those because some bumpy times are coming ahead (with the 2008 crisis, 2nd edition coming before September 2017). So try to educate yourself slowly, but surely... Destroy all illusions.
