Assume we live in a surveillance society...

That everything you say, do, or type, into any electronic device is monitored.

Assume you have a cloud bubble above your head and it contains an ever growing
comprehensive data base of your every communication and whereabout..

Assume this bubble of info is available to the US government to peruse at their will....
it doesn't matter what country you are from.

Very true and very boring in the same time.

Because those who are a true danger at a global scale they never use the internet, and I know few of them.

in the 90's, Clinton turned off every phone in China during a dispute over Taiwan.

Yes, they can read your private messages.

You should know better than even ask. If you have to ask that question you have some internet ignorance.

NEVER POST OR EMAIL ANYTHING YOU DON'T WANT OTHER PEOPLE TO SEE.

THERE IS NO PRIVACY ON THE INTERNET.

You have no guarantee of privacy ANYWHERE on the internet.....

Yeah, i know, but the questions are:-

a) If ATS was forced to give up our info would we ever know ?
b) Can we give out false info /send fake private messages and emails to each other to track who is watching us, watch them and, in some way, gain some 'control' over the controllers ?

the NSA does indeed read the U2U messages on ATS - and their findings baffle them :

who is paying all the " paid disinfo agents "

the NSA knows its not them , or anyone they are spying on / have hacked - and every one else denies it

so the question vexes them - who is paying the skeptics ?

I do not believe that ATS uses encrypted communications.

HTTPS is not a protocol used here. So while all comms between you and another person are private, insofar as they require access to an account, all traffic regarding these messages are transmitted over plain text.

I have no doubt that they can. I"m sure 'they' can get their hands on anything that is on the internet. My U2Us would put them to sleep .. or they'd fall out of their chairs laughing ... but I"m sure they can see them if they wish.

I used to think all the government agency's were corrupt, then i saw a connection. Then I saw infiltration into that agency, now they scream "Terrorists"
Your right, this is fun

NSA, pick a number from one to ten. Hint: any number you pick, is wrong. And even if you come a visiting me, with your covert central terrorists, you'll be wrong. You have a far better chance of figuring out why the earth is expanding, than to solve this riddle. In fact, maybe that is where you should start

After some of the comments on this thread i have to post this (which i found on another thread)

and yes, if i were the military/gov/organisation that wanted to influence a certain section of the intercrowd, i'd set up a site like ATS. Id have regular contributors and avatars that were used by multiple agents and ... other stuff

maybe question should be "is ATS under the fed's control to track dissidents"

while all of what's mentioned is possible and likely, i can't help but think about the dude JL that shot Giffords (not saying his name on purpose) and his account here

sure makes one wonder just how deeply they're involved, doesn't it ?

We are doing, assuming that is, now it's just a matter of catching 'them' at it and turning the tables.

Wikileaks and the Snowden incident has already begun to unravel some of the tangled web but i think that we, as small time players, hold the key to manipulating those who choose to spy on us and try manipulate the direction of free thought.
