My scattered thoughts are falling like hesitant rain drops
I feel an impending storm and a warning in the wind
My fragmented world looks like a puzzle with missing pieces.
My reasoning has become staccato, hit and miss, hit and miss.

Fixed thing have shifted on their foundations.
Many things I have built in my life have become twisted steel.
My personal architecture reveals flaws in my construction,
unable to withstand truth.

I no longer can maintain black and white
There is nothing that seems concrete,
nothing remains permanent,
temporary is as long as anything lasts.

Where is my solid footing,
Where is my anchor point.
Every super hero has failed
and every villain escaped jail.

The wind is blowing in a rancid smell,
burnt, poisoned, tortured bodies,
collateral damage of selling war,
corporations paying bonuses to the best killers.

Destroyers have set up offices in plain sight.
Financial brokers like giddy children ,
sell people’s lives like lemonade
from their wall street stands

Politicians prostitute their constituencies,
pimping us out to their lobbyists.
We have become their slaves
for their power hungry gratification.

Gone are honor and sacrifice,
replaced with greed and avarice.
Double speak, half truths, and flat out lies
have become our first language.

Anti -terrorism has now become the catch phrase,
that sells the products and services of the
industrial, military complex,
that supposedly provide important jobs.

Jobs that create weapons that inflict horror,
carnage, and endless suffering.
Jobs that pay taxes and keep killers in power.
Jobs that go overseas to maximize profit.

The world is looking for a savior,
But will it recognize good from bad?
Will it recognize the one who lies
and choose the one who died?

Another great piece of work greyeagle. It is sad the way the world is going for sure. Greed sure has crept in over the years and cast a dark shadow over the world, And it's such a shame. I just enjoy the countryside away from all the hassle. And try to keep in touch with nature. Hope your doing well, And keep up the good work

Thanks Doc. Nature is one of the few things that still makes sense to me. I long to belong to a community of like minded individuals that can still see the beauty and remain connected to nature, I am doing well and getting ready for my replacement knee surgery coming up on October 16th. Peace
