It looks like Assad's forces are now under attack via chemical weapons.

NEW YORK: Syria’s UN envoy said Wednesday that dozens of Syrian soldiers inhaled poison gas in new incidents in his country and called on the United Nations to investigate.

Ambassador Bashar Jaafari told reporters he had asked UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to extend the mandate of a UN chemical weapons team now in Syria to include the “heinous” new incidents.

He said “dozens” of Syrian soldiers were being treated in hospitals after the incidents on August 22, 24 and 25 in the Damascus suburbs. Jaafari gave no other details.

The envoy spoke as the UN envoys for Britain, France, China, Russia and the United States held their first talks on a British draft UN Security Council resolution condemning a suspected chemical weapon attack near Damascus on August 21, which western nations blamed on President Bashar al-Assad’s forces.

We already know Al Nursa has chemical weapons, sarin gas. They've been busted with it in Turkey and their Al Qaeda brethren have been busted making it in Iraq. Meanwhile chemical weapons have already been used in Syria and the UN even believes it was the rebels/terrorists.

UN accuses Syrian rebels of chemical weapons use

Syrian rebels have made use of the deadly nerve agent sarin in their war-torn country's conflict, UN human rights investigator Carla del Ponte has said.

On the 27th of August, NPR asked the question...

Is It Possible The Syrian Rebels (Not Assad) Used Chemical Weapons?

Secretary of State John Kerry made the case Monday. "We know that the Syrian regime maintains custody of these chemical weapons," Kerry said. "We know that the Syrian regime has the capacity to do this with rockets. We know that the regime has been determined to clear the opposition from those very places where the attacks took place. And with our own eyes, we have all of us become witnesses." On Tuesday, White House spokesman Jay Carney reiterated the point, saying that "anyone who approaches this logically" would conclude that Assad is responsible.

As you might expect, Russia, which has been an unyielding Assad ally and holds veto power on the U.N. Security Council, rejected those conclusions, and the Assad regime blamed the rebels.

So, is it possible the United States and its allies are wrong? Is it possible that it was the rebels, or another group within Syria, that launched the attack near Damascus that reportedly left hundreds dead and thousands more injured?

Approach it logically? Doesn't it piss you off that Kerry and Carney won't even acknowledge that the rebels, namely terrorists, also have chemical weapons and the same delivery systems, like rockets, and refuse to entertain the thoughts of what if it wasn't Assad? Clearly there is an agenda here, we're all aware of it and the most debilitating thing is that there is nothing we can do about it. If they want war they're going to war even though recent polls show about only 9% of Americans think it's a good idea to go into Syria. But when the first US ship, or jet, or soldier is attacked by the "enemy" how many Americans are gonna support this war? Will it even get that far? Will it be like Libya where America doesn't strike but leaves it up to NATO?

Either way, I'm sick and tired of the war hawks in DC who don't give a damn about Syria's civilians but will use their suffering to further their agenda, an agenda that has huge consequences. Want the killing in Syria to decline? Stop supporting the Free Syrian Army. I'm no Assad supporter but I'll be damned if I'm going to support foreign fighters and terrorists like Al Qaeda. Are you kidding me Washington?
