Voice of Russia - Call to send 50,000 Ukranian Volunteers to Syria

Can't say how accurate this report is .... 'fog of war' and all ... But it looks like Russia MAY BE calling for volunteers to go fight in Syria. And it looks like Russia MAY BE rewarding these volunteers with citizenship and housing. IF this is accurate, it makes the US bombing Syria that much more difficult. How do you bomb Assad and miss the 50,000 Russians??? Answer .. you can't.

Russian Gov't Plans to Send 50000 Russian/Ukranian Volunteers to Syria to Fight on Assads Side

Plans are in the works to send a Russian-Ukrainian volunteer corps to Syria to help its leadership with the struggle against the rebels. Several thousand people have already signed up. This came in a statement from the initiator of the volunteer formation, Ukrainian intelligence veteran, Sergey Razumovsky.

“We have literally met with a squall. On all our electronic resources there are requests from people who want to join the corps, mainly from Russia, Belarus, and even Moldova,” Razumovsky says. As for citizens of Ukraine, according to him, they “react with difficulty, so far”.

And, Rrazumovsky adds “…in return, the Syrian authorities can grant citizenship to volunteers, provide insurance to their (the volunteers’) families and help them find housing and take up residence after the war.”

The information at this site leans heavily anti-West.

The same kind of people who fight in the American army, money, food on the table for there children, and a place to live, and they know they take the risk of not coming back alive.
We live in a world with out empathy.

The motivation is as follows: Insurance for themselves and there family, housing and granted citizenship after the "War". Or did you not read the article?

@OP~ Scary, they are using "after the war" just makes the cogs turn that much more... So Russia is siding with Syria already? Not by deploying Russian Troops but volunteers? Scary thought... Smoke screen? Send in the volunteers first just in case SHTF and then they can send in the "real troops"?

Correct me if I'm way off.

I kind of take this, as the Russians know exactly what they are doing in this situation. Making it very hard for the US to not, accidentally blow up some of these people caught in the middle. Then Russia would have a perfect reason for joining the conflict.

READ THE ARTICLE. The motivation is clear. The Russian government is (allegedly) tempting these people with promises of citizenship and housing. THAT is the motivation. Go to war in Syria and come out with citizenship and housing and a better life.

Sadly, I think America has forgotten the lesson of Vietnam, and it might be about the time we re-learn it.

That actually a very smart move, Force the west to diplomacy.

Russia Is Evacuating Its Citizens From Syria

With 'drums' growing ever-louder, Russia's "emergency situations" ministry has sent a second aircraft to evacuate citizens willing to leave war-torn Syria.

As RiaNovosti reports, "an Ilyushin-62 plane took off for Latakia. This special flight is for Russian and CIS nationals who had earlier expressed their determination to return to Moscow," emergencies ministry spokeswoman Irina Rossius said. The plane also bore humanitarian aid for, what a Russian foreign ministry spokesman said at the time was, about 30,000 other Russians that were still living across the country.

Why search for 50.000 Ukrainians if u have 30.000 already place.

IMO that is a part of modern day slavery

This would be the same Russia that has such a terrible problem of people scamming their way out of consciption that even having a legit heart problem is no longer enough to keep you out. And lets not even mention the high desertion rates during the Chechen conflict. This is laughable.
