Because we don't have a republican in office, no other reason. Now they are all caught in a total mind f***, they can't say anything bad about obama because then they would be racist according to their new standards. During the first term of obama it was okay to blame bush because obama could not just pull everyone out the next day. But now the hipsters and the left have nobody to blame so they just keep quiet about it. Now the current thing is to blame capitalism or religion- does not matter so long as you are not blaming the president or the democrats. Oh almost forgot, the two party system is also some big illusion until we get a republican in office.

They are beating the war drum. Didn't you hear? Kerry said Syria has WMD's! Time to liberate those SOB's with destroyers, planes and troops until Al Qaeda, I mean "rebels", can take over and bring in an old fashioned bankster puppet regime. There is a "D" in front of the presidents name, so its OK this time, dont worry.........

Maybe they finally realized that it doesn't matter how much you scream. You will not be heard.

Most of them are still confused , what's happening here I think?

They're at home, where else would they be? Or did you believe they were ever actually 'anti-war'? Hate to disappoint you. The vast majority were simply anti-Bush/anti-GOP. If they can't use it for political purposes, most of them couldn't care less.

There were millions marching all over the world prior to the Iraq invasion.
It was Useless.
People understood.

I haven't seen squat coming out of that camp recently. Prior to Iraq, we had plenty of anti-wat marches going on all over the country.

Where are they now?

What did the marches accomplish then? What are they likely to accomplish now?

The course has been set. Whether you march or not is irrelevant. Your consent isn't needed and your opinion isn't important. The worst you can do is select a different carefully groomed muppet at the next election and that wont change anything either.

This sums up my feelings as well. What difference will it make when the fascists are hell bent on doing as they please regardless of what the public thinks? We saw how well that went with the Occupy Wall Street Protests where a couple were singled out by the mass media as representing thousands of them. Where the Banks employed police to beat up and disperse the protesters.

DC is run by the Bankers and their plans for this country are full steam ahead regardless of what the people want. Do they think this is a Democratic Republic ruled by laws or something? At least it used to be.

These wars have been planned well in advance

We saw what effect the protests had on the Iraq war as well.

Quite a few of them are now homeless.

The rest are trying not to become homeless by being quiet.

If anyone thinks this is a free country, they'll soon be freer than they want to be.

The world is ruled by fear, fear is a powerful thing. That Snowden fella pointed out to us how closely we are monitored here, that information is used to deny people of what they need to remain a part of things, to be "Free?", No, it isn't about freedom, it's about being a member of the "Herd".

To imply there are no Anti War protesters would be a lie.
There are many and in the UK all the backlash Cameron received he has 'dropped' any plans to do anything quickly.

The threat of force (by us) is only a recent thing, so naturally it will take time for word to spread.
It will grow.

The liberal anti-war crowd can't go rally, it might make their precious leader look bad.. And all of the conservative people against the wars.. are just right wing extremist conspiracy kooks.

Remember back in... 2002-2004, it was the exact opposite?

I think most people feel as though they can't do anything. Did the protests help before ? Nothing short of a giant mobilization of people on the capital will do anything . This might be off topic but anyone remember this skit of Black Bush?

Whats sad is that you are so partisan that you really believe that bull.
You think that people that live in the real world put politics before peoples lives and morality?
Really?

I don't think my point could have been more misconstrued, it was that "sides" don't matter. I have been against pretty much all of the wars since 01, and while keeping that same position I have kept note of who has been vocal about being anti-war. Since Obama has been in office, it hasn't been his supporters. I'm speaking generally here, so it's easy to nitpick my argument, congratulations.

Sorry for that, I apologise, You will see that I was asking for clarification which you have provided.
It would seem that we are actually on the same side of this argument.

I think there was a huge difference from then and now. Then being we knew that Bush wanted to invade Iraq with ground troops which sparked world wide protests. Now its basically talk of air strikes without putting any visible boots on the ground.

However I am still concerned about what will happen if the Govt goes through with it. I really feel we should stay out of this. We're all suffering from war fatigue.
