If it reaches a second page it will be surprising. There is nothing to talk about here. Give people credit. Also, in this era in America, liberal ideas, ones the govt sells, wreak of socialist controls. Gun control? Diane Feinstein wants to ban automatic, or semi-automatic weopons. She really wants to ban all guns, she'll tell you herself, but she is trying to start slow and get the most lethal ones out of law abiding citizens hands.

Think about our Constitution and amendments. Why were they written so clearly? Exactly for what is happening right now and happened 250 years ago. An overreaching govt (England) wanted to control and over charge people who had tried to escape such tyranny.

I am (and so are you) probably as smart or more than likely smarter than many who makes our laws of this land. I do not want more needless laws and garnishments of my rights. If our country went back to let's say....1988's laws do you think our nation would better or worse for wear?

our rights are determined by the ruling of the Supreme Court. the Supreme Court gave corporations the same rights as human beings, when clearly corporations are entities inscribed in writing that are formed to conduct business in a certain way. the Supreme Court has ruled that protections under the 4th amendment that guard against government control of it's people no longer applies...examples: "probable cause" has been downgraded to "reasonable suspicion" in the 4th amendment. search of and seizure of property no longer apply as written in the 4th amendment. the acquiring of a search warrant is no longer needed in each case.
in fact, the Supreme Court just invalidated the power of the civil rights act, by allowing any state to change voting laws at any time, even right before an election to eliminate certain people from voting... and the only recourse is to take it to court, which happens after the election.

gee, I wonder why the above has not been vigorously pummeled by the republicans, the freedom party, patriot party, and tea party organizations.

It hasn't been pummeled because law abiding citizens would like for each person in our country to prove they have the right to one vote. For whatever reason the left feels it's not fair to ask each and every person for proof of who they are at the voting booth. If a person can not show that they are entitled, yes entitled by citizenship and age, to vote, then they don't get to. It's one area where conservatives like our privacy invaded, for the good of our country. I don't want joe shmo being able to go vote as dead Mr smith from down the street.

I do agree with you that our supreme court has failed us on many an occasion. Giving human rights to a corporation was a real low point that's taken us downslope.

ok....let's go with that...but here are some rules. all required ID's to vote must be made available at all post offices. any rejection of an voter ID has to come with a written statement as to the reason, this will put into writing what forms of "proof" is needed and who the person was that rejected it initially. "proof" can come from social security or medicare, since these are already checked by the federal government. all American-born students that meet the age requirement have to show copies of (hospital docs.) or (witnessed at home birth docs.) that will be stored on the school premises, and with a simple entry applied on the magnetic strip of their respective school picture ID. each state will be required to pay for all of the expenses. any changes have to occur in odd numbered years, to allow time to comply.
this will eliminate any voter intimidation from law enforcement or others standing out by the polling place, any racist at the polling place that do not want minorities to vote. all polling places must be equally spread out according to population numbers and convenient locations. the number of voting machines per thousand at each polling precinct shall be consistant throughout the state

Ok? Well so long as it is now a liberal idea it's ok? Not even sure what that post above is really about. I guess I agree with you in theory, since I really don't get all your details.

Show valid I.D, right? I know liberals have against any I.D., but you are ok with it?

Indigo, you're a smart lady, why do you want to attack the right so strongly? Did you get caught up in the left/right paradigm that the press and the PTB love us so dearly to play along with?

FlyersFan used to drive me crazy with her far right stance, I do believe, she's not so far right these days as just right. She'll be less right if a republican gets in office next, unless it's Christie apparently.

It's very easy for us all to get caught in the spin, we need to remember to step out and look from the outside.

Honestly...the Far Right frustrates me on two fronts...

(A) Dishonesty...in rhetoric, in numbers, in science, in facts..
Does the "left" do some of this? Yes...but it is but a drop in the cesspool that constitutes far right themes...
From Pres. Obama's gay lovers...to terrorist fist bumps...to born in kenya
And only slightly abated with non-scandals...like Benghazi...morphed into some crazy ass accusations...

(B) The petty dishonesty distracts from the issues that the GOP should be focused on....JOBS...ECONOMY...NSA etc.

See absent a REAL agenda...and united party...the GOP is split...all they can do is hop from one scandal to the next and invent crap....and the stuff that is REAL...like NSA or the Fox Reproter being accused as "Co-Conspirator" in espionage...gets lost in thier storm of utter BS. So I blame them for holding the President accountable for made up crap, while at the same time largely ignoring the real stuff...

In short I don't see...STOP THE BS...as a partisan view.

Hell Boehner had to tell the press to stop expecting the GOP to do ANYTHING..."Judge us by the laws we repeal, not the laws we pass"....WTF? They have niether passed any Job legislation...blockaded it all...AND they haven't repealed anything! They fail on both!

I only mention it because strategically it puts them where they are...manufacturing scandals...

I am good with the NSA scandal...But you get watered down coverage by the Right-Wing outlets, cuz center/majority GOP support the center/majority Dems on the issue...And the Far Right and Far Left are the ones battling it...together...It's just not divisive enough to get the traction it deserves. I'll hand out blame on both sides for that "scandal"...

But for effs sake...that is a drop of water in the steady stream on ATS of Non-Scandals

if the corruption was worse than Nixon, Obama would have already been impeached by the house of representatives. the republicans have continually held hearings in regards to this goal, and have failed to bring charges. apparently, your definition of corruption does not pass the smell test, even with the republican majority in the house. maybe you should present the "evidence" you have right in front of you, to the people that can impeach him, instead of trying to convince us.

Haven't seen an abundance of 'truth' ever coming from the left .

(B) The petty dishonesty distracts from the issues that the GOP should be focused on....JOBS...ECONOMY...NSA etc.

Their dishonesty distracts from the 'issues' even though the left manufactures quite a lot of those.

Pot meet kettle.

Really amazing at the so called 'intellectual' superiority some claim to have on the right.

Which is really funny considering their parties platform about 'equality', and all that jazz.

I agree people do need to stop the bullsnip those people who think they are better than the right.

To date none has never been proven.

Ever going to stop telling the GOP what they should be doing ?

It's not like their detractors really care because if they did they would have nothing to demagogue them with.

Wait so answer this. Do you honestly believe that the Obama administration is on the level and has done nothing wrong or subversive within the last 5 or so years? That they have the nation's best interests at heart? That the PPACA is truly a good thing (not the idea of universal healthcare mind you, the actual bill PPACA)?

Do you believe the administration is telling the truth right now when they say that Syria has definitely attacked their citizens with chemical weapons? You know despite the fact that UN inspectors JUST got there and this would be the absolute worst time for someone to do such a thing, or the fact that Assad is currently winning the war and wouldn't need to utilize such a tactic.

How about the NSA? You know Obama has gotten on television multiple times to tell us that they aren't spying on Americans and every time he does Snowden releases more damning evidence to the contrary.

Are all these things just lies perpetuated by the Republicans to character assassinate the current Presidential Administration?

This comment takes the cake

You must only be aware of the "facts" given to you by the press. I don't really think any conversation with you will help. If you think Benghazi was a non-scandal, you don't understand the true implications of all the actions that took place in that event. General Ham fired, start there.

Hardly. The broken promises and the lies spewed by the Obama administration are all corruption that he can't be impeached for. Ditto being incompetent. Ditto for cronyism and racism. Ditto for all the lobbiests in his administration that he said he wouldn't have. Ditto for bombing more countries than Bush43. Ditto for his Muslim Brotherhood kneepads. Ditto for the useless war Mr. Nobel Peace Prize is about to drag us in with Syria/Russia. Ditto for all the coverups Mr. Transparency has engaged in. Ditto for Fast and Furious gun running and lying about it.. Ditto for the NSA spying on Americans and lying about it. When Nixon bugged Watergate, no one died. When Obama took care of Benghazi, people died and coverup lies were told. And so on .. and so on...

apparently, your definition of corruption does not pass the smell test,

So you have closed your eyes AND put a clothespin on your nose, eh?

instead of trying to convince us.

Most people on ATS don't need convincing, they are capable of seeing it clearly. In your case, I wouldn't bother trying to discuss it with you. The facts are here and yet you continue to close your eyes and hug the (D). Your choice ... enjoy the bubble you have created.

This is what I mean by dishonesty...Did Soros or Rahm donate to Christie??

Or did some far right spin team find people associated with them and spin the piece out to fire-up the far right against Christie?

The Star-Ledger review found that five executives at Soros Fund Management gave a combined $19,000 to Christie's re-election campaign

....

Tim Mullen, a Chicago investor who gave more than $100,000 to Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel's campaign in 2011, also sent the maximum donation.

www.newsmax.com...

I can't find where George Soros or Rahm donated???

Just someone who once gave Rahm money and a few execs among hundreds at one of Soros's hedge funds?

Hey...and when they tracked down one of the contributors...what was the thinking?

"He is willing to take on tough issues such as pension reform, education reform, mental-health issues, even if his views are not politically correct," said Rosen.

Sounds reasonable to me...But hell...."Christie back by Geoerge Soros and Rahm Emmanuel"...get the intended job done even if it is not true.

THe republican only have the house. If they try to impeach it will not pass in the senate. The republicans probably don't want to give a reason for the dems to attack them. They just wait out the 3 years and work harder this next time.

At least that's what I've read. Personally it pisses me off that they don't at least try to impeach, there is certainly more that enough with all the lies to go forward with an impeachment.

Again, look from the outside....they all work together!

I have actually delved down into the testimony, transcripts, and documents of the 15 plus investigations and hearing the GOP sponsored...the assertation that the President of the United States gleefully allowed Americans to die is false. And the real scandal is the stark difference between how a terrorist attack is recieved by the GOP depending on whom is in the Whitehouse.

What's the point of impeachment anyways? Yay we got rid of one figurehead, let's install the next figurehead in line (Biden...
). Meanwhile, in the background all the backroom hand shakes and generally screwing over of the country continues unabated. Hmmm... It's almost like holding a national election.

New Jersey Dot Com - Major Democratic Donors Flock to Christie

The checks are flying into the Republican governor’s war chest from all sorts of unlikely places — the hedge fund run by liberal billionaire George Soros, for example, and the politically progressive halls of the University of California, Berkeley.

Now .. wanna' talk about DISHONESTY? Stop saying it's a far right trait while letting the far left off the hook. Obama has lied and lied and lied. He is constantly caught in lies and double talk. His entire administration is guilty of it .. over and over and over. To turn a blind eye to this is DISHONESTY on the part of the person who refuses to acknowledge it.
