Okay, so I do realize that this forum is "US Political Madness", but...

Anyone ever take a look at the stickies in the Political Ideologies forum? If not, go do that before you read the rest of this post.

Notice something there? Every one of them is centered around conservative politics. There's nothing there about a "liberal" FSME, or global liberal parties, or even the American Democratic party. Each and every one is about the right wing of the political spectrum.

I think it's pretty obvious that the staff of ATS have openly made the politics boards into an extension of the Fox News conservative echo chamber, as the stickies and mod/staff attitudes in the forums blatantly show.

You won't get an argument from me about the vocal majority leaning right. However there are mods who are center or left leaning. There's no conspiracy by mods or site owners/admin to promote any threads over others. ATS is 100% user generated, threads appear on the front page based off of number of replies and flags... again if they're mostly conservative that's because the vocal majority on ATS is Conservative.

Also, I believe you can request a thread be stickied.

Ats has a balance where there is something for everyone.

Most of the vocal 'majority' don't even call themselves conservative just a label attached to anyone who criticizes the current potus.

How many times does it need to be pointed out to you that Social Security is not an entitlement? You can only collect it, if you paid into it yourself.

Since a person only pays 6% their employers match that at another 6%, and gets more out than they paid in to it, which is why they need new people to fleece by taxation to cover the difference.

Then make people wait 40 years before they get to collect that.

The average social security check is $1000 where people can make more with any other investment vehicle, and have a HIGHER standard of living.

No wait Wall Street is evil, but Government is 'good'. ! ! !

If people fully funded their Social Security THEMSELVES instead of other people then it wouldn't be called an entitlement.
