1. So they acknowledged that they had been hacked, but denied the emails were real. Which to believe when it's difficult for readers to prove one way or another? At least we know the story was at least half true...they were hacked.
2. Maybe they had a bad lawyer, but these days, £110,000 settlement is probably only enough to cover the lawyer's fees. This amount sounds too small when such a firm's reputation is at stake.
3. Why wouldn't Britam Defence Limited file lawsuits against all other sites that have published the same story?
4. Daily Mail Online seems to be paying an unusual amount of "damages" for "false" stories. Is there a backroom dealing going on - "we will clear your name by publicly apologizing and 'settling' at the right price" ? Seriously, how are they making money otherwise? How much an ad click on their website pays anyhow? At this rate, they should be bankrupt.
On their site alone now:

I think we ought to be suspicious. Never jump into a conclusion just seeing they "settled". It didn't even seem like the suit was won and damages were awarded. Even then, it can all be staged.

That's a fair point, I think we know why Obama didn't request it. I still am trying to figure out why Assad wasn't begging them to inspect the crime scene, or maybe he did but that message didn't make it back to the states yet.

Yeah, that was more of a rhetorical question to see who was paying attention ...and you too raise an interesting question. Though I agree that perhaps he did, but we just have not been told that he did.

Exactly, Infowars ran the story too, and I think they ran it before the daily mail article cause they source Infowars in it. I have not heard anything about Infowars being sued or removing the article from their site.

Haven't the world's superpowers been rattling sabers all over the place lately threatening the Assad regime with assured strikes if chem weapons were used? Keeping that in mind, would one think that a national leader who is just barely surviving the rebellion of his own would release chemical weapons and invite foreign superpowers in to help overthrow him? I'm thinking likely not. If in fact any chem weapons were used, it's almost certain they were provided by the CIA.

At this point in the game it's possible Assad's army used chemical weapons without his own knowledge.. it's too hard to keep track of this mess.

Assad's main excuse is basically saying what country would gas an area where their own troops are near by.. which makes sense on the surface until you reverse that .. he's basically saying he wouldn't gas his own men, but that the rebels would be happy to gas themselves in a strategic area..

Now, the drumbeat is loud and strong and hypocritically moral for western military action in Syria against Assad, and regardless of what the truth is on the chemical attack, whether it was Assad, or the rebels, or even if it was a western false flag, Assad is going to be bombarded by western military ordinance. The arms industry is having its Christmas party as we speak, with bonuses all round, for the coming boom in arms production.

This what we are as a species...what a noble animal we are!

I colossally agree with almost everything you said. We are not in Iraq for oil. If we had been in Iraq for oil, it would have been cheaper to buy it. We are in these areas of the mid-east to keep the region destabilized. Divide and conquer. Syria is just our domino to fall on Iran.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the situation?

Seems awful coincidental that we would all of a sudden find chemical weapons in a country, just weeks after that country banned using foreign currency (including the beloved US Dollar).

Not to mention the Mutual Denfence Treaty that Syria and Iran have. Just in cases they run into a situation like this.

Did we forget that Iran controls the Strait of Hormuz? That seems like a plausible target if one were after oil.

And lastly, China and Russia hold Veto power over any UN action.

Are we going to go against the UN in order to "save the children"?

The only thing that changes is the date. one says 16 Oct 2012 the other 24 Dec 2012. But the times all the times are exactly the same.

Yea I realized that so I looked it up and spammers or hackers can alter that stuff. Might have been done intentionally. But if so why

If faked they know how to do these things as well. Would be nice to know what these emails said (have the whole thing).

So you think they altered all that information and left the dates real? The only thing that changes is the dates. Logic would say the dates were changed. They created fake headers for the emails by copy pasting and then changed the dates to make it look like they were different emails sent months apart. The whole email is garbage. A hoax.
