That's quite a sight. I've never seen fog so thick rolling in like that! If I was driving down that road, I would probably make a quick U turn and high tail it the other way.

Cool!

It reminded me of Stephen King's movie "The Mist".

Edit - It's hypnotic I've watched it like three times.

Stole the words right out of my mouth, freakin' sweet indeed!

I love fog, we get some really dense stuff in the winters down here in the Tampa Bay area. I've been in fog so dense that you couldn't see the end of the hood of the car you were sitting in (that was actually a rather scary drive, back when I was a teenager) I've been on the beaches and watched the sea fog roll in around me. It's always awesome. I like to think of fog as Mother Nature's chilly blanket

I love fog! One of my favorite things to do is go walking around outside in the forest when there is a really dense fog- everything seems so different and mysterious!
This morning I just woke up to find one of those really dense fogs outside- strange for summer! But I am going to head out into it now.

JUst to add to the subject, here's some photos we've taken of fog rolling in from our windows- we live pretty high up and sometimes we are up above it and it looks like we live on an island.

Echoing the sentiments of others here, awesome and eerie at the same time. I would love to stand right up there and have it hit me in the face as it came rolling down.

I once watched that movie the evening before getting a haircut. When I was sitting in the hairdressers chair, I just about jumped out when I saw a bearded figure in oil-skins and a fish-hook walk right past me.

It was one of the juniors in her wellington boots, and yellow parka jacket with the hood on. The "fish-hook" was a hair-band she was holding by one end to give to a customer.

For some reason, the Canadians seem to own this fog phenomena. I take a trip to Prince Edward Island, from Boston every year, which takes me through the Bay of Fundy area of New Brunswick. I have witnessed similar rolling fog on that route many times. It is funny, because it looks so dense, yet if you happen to drive in to it, it is certainly foggy, but there is enough visibility to drive, albeit slowly.

LOL! I'm so used to that I didn't even notice it was in the photo!
My husband has various passions too- that's his Crusader. He made it into a flight simulator inside. He also wrote a book on this particular one's past, researching all the pilots that flew it in Vietnam and their missions.
It makes it easier to give people directions to our home- "If you can't find it, just stop anyone on the street and ask where the house with the fighter plane in front of it is."
