Konrad von Hochstaden was Archbishop of Cologne from 1238 to 1261. In Cologne, Germany he is honored with a statue on a City Hall.

This is what it looks like...

This building used to be cathedral, then City Hall moved in. So I was thinking, why would city government choose this type of art on their building? And came up with two possibilities..

1) This was the only available building at the time and they were in desperate need of a new city hall for some reason.

2) They looked at the statue and agreed that there is no better way to tell people to go fu** themselves than with a statue of a guy actually doing it. Plus it was already there and some people call art.

What do you think?
