I am referring to this post I created about a year ago.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

It includes the word "roadblock" on a few occasions (in case the filter does it here as well I'll explain it's the words road and block added together to form one word and is pretty essential for each sentence to make sense).

EDIT : Ha it did as well

All of a sudden as I've been updating it I've noticed I am seeing ro [don't do that on ATS] instead of road block. I am guessing that ATS is sensitive about anyone talking about blocking ads on the site but could be wrong.

Can the filter not be tweaked to recognize the actual word I originally used and leave it be?

It's made a complete mess of a post. And it has absolutely nothing to do with the actual word the software is trying to filter out.

Roadblock is filtered?

Oh wait, I see, the word they are filtering is a.d.b.l.o.c.k..

How quirky.

Doesnt solve anything.

The word road.block does not have a full stop in it. Surely either the filter should be optimised to ONLY refer to the actual term, and not a word which contains x amount of similar letters!? I mean who wrote the filter program, a ten year old?

I saw roadblock in that post. So I'm missing the issue here.

Don't thank me, thank SkepticOverlord! He's the one who fixes such things around here.
