The Lead Mask Case

First off i don't know if this is in the right forum so mods feel free to move.

I know many of you have probably heard of 'The Lead Mask Case' but i just wanted to get you're thoughts and opinions on the matter LEADMASKCASE

OP, I think this case is interesting, but fairly straightforward. First, consider the note that was found near the bodies:

"16:30 (04:30 PM) be at the agreed place. 18:30 (06:30 PM) swallow capsules, after effect protect metals, wait for signal, mask".

Then, consider the statement about the coroner's office being unable to test for toxic substances:

A search for toxic substances was impossible, as the coroner's office was very busy at the time, so when the autopsy was finally conducted, the internal organs of the two victims were too badly decomposed for reliable testing.

I think, perhaps like the well-known Heaven's Gate cult, these two men were convinced that they would be whisked away by a UFO if they followed certain procedures. Unfortunately, I think one of the procedures involved ingesting some kind of toxic substance.
