No one can show the people of the world who or what they are better then themselves.

I apply this saying to liberals but it works on the MB..........just as well.

The religious majority terrorizing the religious minority. Nothing new here. Religious intolerance is a by-product of religion.

What has the US got to do with the Muslim Brotherhood burning down a Franciscan school and parading helpless nuns through the streets as prisoners of war?? Answer ... nothing. It's the Muslim Brotherhood waging war upon non-muslims. It's just that simple.

...which by definition, is barbaric.

What other religion tells you to disrespect and/or to kill other PEACEFUL religions?

Barack Obama just got played....thank God and/or Allah!

Mubarak is going free and he might temporarily return to power....to exterminate the Muslim Brotherhood from Egypt.

Obama backed the wrong horse....and since we've seen Benghazi, he won't be funneling weapons to anybody in the near future.

Horrible but predictable when faced with animalistic hatred from a blind mob with anti western beliefs whom assume the west if Christian and persecute the unrelated Christians in there midst, these are evil times and our sisters one can only hope are safe now.

Nothing new... their forefathers did the same thing to the Grandaughters (as) of the Prophet (saww) after killing His Grandsons (as)

They have no shame, no fear of Allah, no faith.... never have, never will apparently.

But wait! Have you forgotten that Allah said, “Do not regard those who disbelieved that we grant them good for themselves? We only give them a respite so that they may increase their sins, and for them there is a humiliating torment.” (3:178)

Is it fair, O son of the “Released Ones” that you keep your ladies and bond maidens in their chambers (under protection), and at the same time you drive the daughters of the Messenger of Allah as captives with their veils removed and faces exposed, taken by their enemies from one land to another, being viewed by those at watering places as well as those who man your forts, with their faces exposed to the looks of everyone – near or distant, lowly or honourable, having none of their men with them nor any of their protectors?

But what can be expected from one descended from those whose mouths chewed the liver of the purified ones and whose flesh grows out of the blood of the martyrs? How can it be expected that one who looks at us with grudge and animosity, with hatred and malice, would not hate us – the Ahlul Bayt? Besides, you, without feeling any guilt or weighing heavily what you recite saying, They would have been very much delighted, Then they’d have said, “May your hands, O Yazid, never be paralyzed.”

OBAMAs friends at work again

the west still send money to those criminals,

while brave people like general Al-Sisi of egypt, President Bashar al Assad of syria, Sayed Hassan Nasrallah of hezbollah are the true anti-terrorist/anti-al qaeda, fighting the extremists and terrorism to save the people of the Arab world

NATO, and the Saudis are Al qaeda/salafi/extremists supporters

As abhorrent as this will be if it turns out to be true, you are aware that you have picked the UK's most anti-Islam newspaper in circulation? The Daily 'Fail' as it is more colloquially known across the Pond is rather well adept at reporting what the hell it wants – usually a lot of non-fact checked stories. If true, this is just another part of the whole social and political disaster unfolding in Egypt. You need to be very careful when taking stories from this newspaper and parading them across these boards.

The original Associated Press story is a better read – a lot more background and substance. As usual, re-hashed press releases being cut and re-worked across the news wires.

From the original AP story:

"We are nuns. We rely on God and the angels to protect us," she said. "At the end, they paraded us like prisoners of war and hurled abuse at us as they led us from one alley to another without telling us where they were taking us," she said. A Muslim woman who once taught at the school spotted Manal and the two other nuns as they walked past her home, attracting a crowd of curious onlookers.

"I remembered her, her name is Saadiyah. She offered to take us in and said she can protect us since her son-in-law was a policeman. We accepted her offer," she said. Two Christian women employed by the school, siblings Wardah and Bedour, had to fight their way out of the mob, while groped, hit and insulted by the extremists. "I looked at that and it was very nasty," said Manal.

Helps to keep things in perspective.

The Muslims also:

attacked at least 58 churches, Christian institutions, homes and shops since Wednesda

In a separate incident, a Catholic school and a Christian orphanage were burned down in Minya.

In some parts of Minya, Islamists painted a red X on Muslim stores and a black X on Christian shops. Muslim stores were spared by mobs while property of Christians were looted.

Churches and other Christian property were also razed in Alexandria, Arish, Assiut, Cairo, Gharbiya, Giza, Qena, Sohag and Suez.

Two Christians have also been killed since Wednesday.

The Bible Society of Egypt has reported the burning down of its bookshops in Assiut and Minia cities in southern Egypt.

All this in the name of Allah a God of peace?

I don't see Obama condemning this.

Nor do I see "normal" Muslim leaders condemning this. That says more to me than anything about Islam.

As i thought about this more, and removed the hyperbolic Daily Mail and it's frothing mouth from the equation, i could not help but think of another possible headline... "Confused and distressed Nuns lead from burning building and escorted to eventual safety through mob as possibly thousands are killed"

Food for thought.

According to other news sources, the same crowds sexually assaulted female staff members of the school they set fire to. Some escort huh

Obviously your not reading or watching Egyptian news, nor are you watching Syrian, Lebanese, or Algerian news. All of whom are supporting christians, in fact in Syria the so called civil war is a battle between the Syrian people of all religions against the barbaric western backed isloamist terrorist rebels

Look at general Al Sisi poster. what do you see?

I wouldnt be surprised if Obama and the West side with the islamists against this open minded man who has saved Egypt and her people

It is well past time for the Christians in Egypt to arm themselves and not turn the other cheek when these cowards attack in mass mobs. You may not be able to kill them all before you lose your life but you will put some fear in the rest of them.

I really have no idea how this works out well at this point. Namely because SO many people are scope locked on one nation at a time when the other side is *NOT* playing this as separate nations and entirely unrelated struggles but ONE struggle with multiple fronts. Roughly 1800 prisoners were broken out shortly before the real violence began in Egypt. They were broken out of Libya, Iraq and Pakistan. Where do you figure those guys went and are headed? See any violence exploding anywhere else at the moment? I don't. They sure didn't shoot everything moving to get those guys out...just to go to a South Pacific Island and live a quiet life in hiding.

I'm thinking they couldn't spare any more off the Syria campaign and Iraq is mired in it's own daily tit for tat killing in double digit numbers. Can't spare many from there either for what is now a balls to the wall fight for their lives in Egypt. I'm guessing they found their reinforcements and that goes a long way toward explaining why this is SO different than what has come before.

The Military hasn't changed. Same people there. The Egyptians haven't' changed. Same people there too. So what DID change from the last 2 periods of unrest to make this a bloodbath? ......the "protesters" are engaged in urban warfare, not protest. That's what changed.

Charles, I honestly have NO clue how we help make this turn out right ..and maybe that's the biggest statement for why we need to STAY OUT and let the Egyptians work this out. However bad it gets. Let them end it, their way.

Imagine....If these hanky stomping little bleeding hearts had been around and running British papers during the American revolution? Heck, we wouldn't have won our nation. We'd have had the friggin UN of intervention and then dividing the continent up between every power with a Navy to have gotten here and "intervened" to stop the 'senseless killing'.

Thank God...we were left to get the job done and from it, America rose...with one heck of a good run until fairly recently, when we totally lost sight of everything that made this nation worth taking pride in. Egypt isn't our place to meddle... Just watch from a distance. We don't need to ruin yet another nation. Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria are enough, aren't they?

No where in the article does it say the Muslim Brotherhood did this. Please point it out.

Nowhere in the articles does it identify every formation of Bradley fighting vehicles or tanks as Egyptian military either. They leave that to our ability to deduce from the lack of other logical answers.

If there is a 3rd faction in Cairo, burning churches and religious symbols like it's a sport and mistreating nuns, please, enlighten us as to who these newcomers may be? No one else is aware of a 3rd side operating in this?

This is what the Muslim Brotherhood and Morsi supporters are doing. Taking innocent Christian nuns who are minding their own business, and abusing them and parading them through the streets as prisoners of 'war'.

That is because these nuns are prisoners of war, effectively.

That is, jihad is an ongoing struggle or 'war' against the "infidel" (non believer / non moslem) to pervade Islam ideology throughout every facet of human society- how you eat, how you talk, your personal life, how you copulate, the law, governance... everything. (Islam isn't just bobbing up and down while facing off into the depths of space, muttering incantations to yourself- it's way of existing.)

As such, all non moselms are considered 'enemy combatants', because they combat the spread of Islam; either passively or directly. There are no distinctions made between soldiers, men, woman, children, nuns or any other denomination of people in Islam.. The only thing that matters to Islamists with whether or not you're [still¹] one of them and fight for their (Allah's) cause.

¹ Islam dictates all people were moselms and that those whose who are no longer have been "led astray".
