Hello everyone. I have been eating healthy for a few months down. And since I started both exercising and eating better; I have been feeling healthier and even happier. I'm a very routine person which is why I love eating the food that's good for me. However, I would love to share my recipes and ask for other members to share their own too. The food I'm going to list is great for men and their bodies. Which I believe is good to know to get the best for our own bodies.

These are a list of various fruits and vegetables I enjoy eating:
Apples, bananas, peas, avocado, oranges, beans, tomatoes, broccoli, lettuce, cabbage, carrots, plums, strawberries, pears, nectarines, squash, blueberries, raspberries, pineapple, potatoes, and spinach.

Here is a great list of lean meat:
Chicken, turkey, tuna, beef, and I'll include eggs here.

Grains:
Whole wheat and corn are good for you.

Nuts and seeds: Walnuts, cashews, sunflower and pumpkin seeds.

Drinks: I have been drinking mostly water and V8 drinks like the original vegetable juice and the V8 V-fusion fruit and veggie juice. I drink milk here and there.

There is a lot more food I am forgetting to list, but will remember later. When I cook I usually make a number of random things and eat them together. I'll make a salad either out of veggies or fruit and eat that with something like a sandwich. When I prepare my various meats - like chicken and steak - I use spices like garlic and pepper. Which gives them a burst of flavor. As well garlic is good for men to eat.

Hopefully my list will be good enough to share. I'm thankful I feel like a million bucks eating anything on this list and exercising compared to eating fast food.

Here are some pictures I hope you guys and gals will love.

Veggie burrito: Lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, rice, beans, and red sauce.

Loco tacos: Lean ground beef, Mexican spices and sauces, beans, guacamole, grated cheese and nacho cheese, salsa, tomatoes, lettuce, and onions. My loco tacos are so cheesy and spicy you'll have to drink something ice cold.

Crazy you would post this now - I was craving a veggie burrito since last week. Since my wifey isn't too fond of a tortilla filled with 'fillers' I ended up making regular burritos instead.

Your list seems to be well planned. My healthy good mood food is usually a veggie soup. I'll toss in whatever I have around, frozen or not. My protein of choice for the soups are usually eggs (veggie fed hens). Seems to always lift me up after a day at work...I go heavy with the sodium though, I drink water by the gallon jugs on most days and the high intake of sodium seems to help me keep my fluid intake up without feeling bloated. Usually keeps me hydrated enough for morning exercise sessions.

Disclaimer - My unhealthy good mood foods involve bacon, gravy and the like. A rib eye cooked medium also is in my good mood foods list.

No problem. It's a good meal when you make more then enough meals. I can get all the vitamins and what not I need for my body. By just eating veggie burritos. You can also include different types of meat to make it a deluxe burrito.

Hello,
Thank you for your post!
I know that there are foods that actually lift your mood, like spinach, chia seeds, quinoa, asparagus, granola, lentils, chocolate, nuts etc

Best thing I can recommend is to buy a blender. Then just whatever fruits, chop them up and throw them in, and add a bit of honey and water, yoghurt if you wish. It's enormously satisfying, especially in the morning, leaves you with that contented feeling in your stomach, hard to describe. You can play around with whatever fruits you like, but I've yet to taste something I don't like just by throwing random stuff in, usually apples, bananas, pears, kiwi, blueberries, raspberries, grapes and anything else I can find.

Another thing I like to drink every now and then is some cayenne pepper and water, supposed to be great for the heart, stomach and general cardiovascular system.
