The Sun Activity is picking up.

It seems rather odd that with all the unrest in the Middle East, Money woes all over the world, unrest, greed, sickness of millions of people, plus lots of other things going wrong on earth, the Sun is now having a go to liven things up too.
Are we sure that the Mayan were wrong when 2012 passed without problems? are they 1 year out? as with war looming that will be Nuclear, & the sun getting restless and Christian Churches being burnt down, old Temples being destroyed things all seem to be odd at the same time.

I think the Moon has more of a direct effect on humanity. Just look at the amount of murders and suicides that occur when its full Moon.

Sun's Magnetic Field Flip Won't Doom Earth, Scientists Say

The sun's magnetic field is set to reverse its polarity in the next few months. But the shift won't spark an increase in powerful solar storms or other events that could have a damaging effect on Earth and its inhabitants, researchers say.
This polarity flip is perfectly normal solar behavior, occurring every 11 years at the peak of our star's activity cycle. But the field reversal doesn't drive the increase in solar flares and eruptions of superheated plasma, called coronal mass ejections, that is observed around solar max.
