Based on all that you just wrote, most of us wont have to worry because now they will all be looking at you.

Peace, NRE.

Oh my, google stores google searches, google docs, YouTube videos, google play and android devices and credit card details.

And this is scary?

Be scared if they had all your iTunes account details.

The best thing you can do to guarantee no one is tracking you by GPS is to stop using cell phones, period! Throw them in the garbage... get rid of them completely.

With how advanced technology is these days. Carrying around a cell phone is no different then walking around with a house arrest ankle bracelet. The only difference is you can leave your home, but you are still being tracked anywhere and everywhere you use your phone.

For more information on how this works here is a link to another thread entitled:

"What does six-months of cell phone meta-data look like? It looks like this..."

SkepticOverlord has made an interesting thread where an individual sues his telecom for six months of his cell phone data. It not only documents the calls he makes, but also every single place he has visited over the past six months.

Very intriguing.

It is NOTyou using Google, signed in, searching weird stuff like... or You on facebook liking this or that, posting your daily comings and goings, you watching some porn...who cares??? or you with Paypal, credit cards, buying whatever, or you with a cell phone going here and there...

It IS you that does not search on Google, you who has no bank account or credit cards, you that do not have a "smart phone" and you that never log into anything and have no ties to any social media, you who think you are off the radar (snickering at the rest that are) all the while playing on GLP and ATS, watching RT, and Dutchsinse not logged into youtube...your IP is notorious with us...

Ya, it is you that we are really watching....

Signed,
Your Friends at the NSA

All good reasons to not use anything Google! I have their cookies blocked, specifically, since they bypass the usual security settings. Don't use their search at all (prefer Duck Duck Go), and don't use gmail. YouTube, I do visit, but again, blocked tracking. On the rare times I DO log in there, I ONLY visit there, while logged in, and clear all, and re-block when done. It is possible to get around a lot of the tracking.

Oh, I check. I a pretty serious about tracking. I check what cookies come on regularly, instead of mass deleting sight unseen. Some people would be surprised how many cookies they would see from sites they didn't visit, even with third party cookies turned off. I have a LONG list of blocked sites for such as those. There is also another little thing you can do, and that's use a different browser for certain sites. If they are tracking monsters, I do that as well.

Do you mean a YT specific dashboard?

How is this surprising? Things like not deleting your cc information...? The same could be said about any website.

So, will this information be used to help me prove my innocence if I were ever accused of a crime I didn't commit? Or is it only allowed to be used to get me in trouble?

Between google, NSA, PRISM, CCTV, etc, everyone should have an alibi for most of their waking hours. And if I use the app that watches you sleep to detect paranormal activity, and save those recordings on a hard drive somewhere, then that covers my sleeping hours too.

Not only can it be your alibi, but you can demand that someone else's files be pulled to prove your innocence too. "I know I didn't do it and I can prove it because that guy over there DID do it and tried to set me up. Pull his files and that will be all the proof you need to set me free!"

Will they seriously send me to prison just because they won't type in a few buttons on their computers to exonerate me? Yeah, actually they probably will. Bastards.

I realize though that the majority of the zombified masses aren't tech-savy at all, and for them these features are "totally awesome!" and "save me so much time!".

That's the thing, all of these data collection points are sold to everyone as convenience tools. People don't bother to check their settings, understand where their data is going or how it is used.

If you are creeped out by Google, don't give them anything to be creeped out about.

Do You use a smartphone? I assume you use a cell phone considering you specifically said "android" phone.
IMO android phones are the best phone OS. Everything is opensource so there are MANY anti-servalance tools available And I surely hope you don't mean to imply Apple phones are any better in terms of privacy

"Dashboard"? Is this something in YT? If it's cookies, those are cleared. Obviously, though, they can track what I do there when logged in. When I do, it's virtually always for one of my own videos, so I don't care about that. If I am simply watching videos, I never log in for that.

I know right, they see "google" is attached to it and start freaking out, because you know, everyone on ATS is that important that they have a dedicated team of NSA analysts monitoring them in real time. No joke, some people here honestly believe that crap.

Android? cyanogen mod, most of your worries disappear overnight.

Beyond that, none of the services mentioned require your ACTUAL INFORMATION. I mean, do people actually use their real names and addresses on this stuff? Do people actually log into google at all times? It's kind of funny really, most of this stuff is only a concern if you are an idiot.

Apple is no better than google, in fact, a little worse as google is at least transparent about what they do, apple is less than transparent about it. No one can examine apples code, google android is open source so the whole damn internet is peeping that code.

besides, just having a phone means you are tracked, even if it's in "sleep mode" and not a "smart phone" it's connected to a network and monitored, and linked to the name / cc details of whomever purchased it.

And I also have to wonder, with the deep deep paranoia being expressed, what exactly are some of you people doing online? i mean seriously. What idiot thought their web hosted free email was secure?

Free services aren't free, someones paying something, remember that. In the case of email / social networks, it's your information and habits they want, to sell to PR firms to help market whatever crap they are hawking.

Hi,

Is there a similar search function with bing and firefox?

I use these Browsers!

Also, I don't use my real name for anything on the net except for paying bills, playing dreamteam football and online banking.

You are quite right.

I have virtually stopped using my mobile phone.... I use it every now and then to send a text or two.... that's about it.

I use the Net for keeping upto date on Important info and when I go out, I carry my phone just for the 'time' only as I don't own a watch.

I agree...and it isn't just google that stores information... all of the search websites store information on everyone and everything; again it is not just google.

I really don't care if NSA or whatever are checking my internet comments and emails. I don't have anything to hide.

Android phone: Check
2 Gmail accounts: Check
Always logged in: Check
