That means Call of Duty has been played for a total of 2.85 million years, which is longer than "the entirety of human existence".

www.computerandvideogames.com...
A truly shocking statistic. I have played my fair share of COD in the past but come on.
My friend plays every night 9pm till 12am, I mean seriously people only go to church once a week.
I think if mankind put as much effort into solving our real problems then there could be some real progress.
It would seem that pretending to kill people holds much power over mankind.

Not so hard to believe...and why the hell would I want to solve your problems anyway?
I once spent 36 hours straight shooting down axis airplanes because it was fun, not because we have issues!

Played CoDs as well... i personally think its one of the overrated games out there.. so simple an 8 yr old can master it to certain degree.(i tested it with my nephew online, he was 7-8th place out of 24 people)
The developers know it is famous among younger group, so they pretty much stop trying to better.. most of their game is rehashing same crap over and over again, while games like Battlefield, which has strategy and improve each year, should deserve more credits but it gets pushed back.

My Son plays. Ive watch him play. Its a video game. It beats children going out and finding other things to do, such as crime, drugs, gangs etc........ I see nothing wrong with it, if its done in moderation.

This is just a way to relax like anything else...When the other half is bitching about how long you play or when you play with a glass of wine in her hand all things become relative
It bug's me when people say video games are made to distract us from the bigger picture.NO its like anything else in the world if people want something and there is ££££ to be made and lots of it in this case it gets made.

Social skills are pretty important in life. You dont get those if you aint out socialising.
But yes I agree everything in moderation cant be bad.
