Was it meant to be this way? I understand the biological need to breed. What I am unclear of is was this the plan? is it healthy for the planet and animal? Since creation of Adam and eve , has it been the goal to conquer every part of the planet with human life.

Adam and Eve aside, the goal of humanity is to conquer every part of EVERY planet with human life.

the entire human population on the planet can fit in Texas, with a population density of New York city.

Thats the entire planet.

Its not that its over population, its too much greed that is the problem.

And the reason is what? The earth will likely survive .I think humans will fight more. Or have a lower quality of life.

Well in the UK more and more landscapes are being destroyed and homes built. I rarely see free and wild nature anymore , other than human controlled ones.

The reason is biological imperative. We are, in all reality, nothing more than lifeboats for DNA and mitochondria. We exist to carry them into the future. Both our genes and our mitochondria existed before us, and will survive us - in a manner of speaking.

If you are looking for a Bibliocentric answer? God created humans to worship him and the world to enable us to do so. The plants, animals, and even Earth itself exist to sustain us as their sole purpose.

Not according to the GeorgiaGuideStones message 1.
Perhaps when so many grow here they are moved elsewhere after so many time periods. This is subjective to 1 of course. And the move doesn't to be a nefarious 1 (depending)

A message consisting of a set of ten guidelines or principles is engraved on the Georgia Guide stones in eight different languages, one language on each face of the four large upright stones. Moving clockwise around the structure from due north, these languages are: English, Spanish, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese and Russian.
1.[color=cyan] Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
2.Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity.
3.Unite humanity with a living new language.
4.Rule passion — faith — tradition — and all things with tempered reason.
5.Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
6.Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
7.Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
8.Balance personal rights with social duties.
9.Prize truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite.
10.Be not a cancer on the earth — Leave room for nature — Leave room for nature.

I don't think humans are meant to conquer EA*RTH to say, but if left ignorant to what is the real objective agenda here then its basically a free fall w/o Guidance as to what many are to be doing here. Either sharing with other intelligent species of EA*RTH or overtake EA*RTH due to ignorance on others who potentially share.
And so maybe better teachings and objective data of EA*RTH would provide lessons for many to embed into their psyche when procreating. This will in turn allow for a more balanced planet for ALL* , as it (the energies on the planet) get to know ITSELF more...

If you put 10 rabbits together there will eventually be 1000. One fly turns into dozens, two birds produce several eggs, etc. but...in those cases some die and your left with an about even distribution of that species. Predators, disease, etc.

A big part of the population explosion is due to medicine. Natural selection doesn't stand much of a chance when we know how to cure disease and disability. Humans have intelligence, Therefore can prevent death and even bring about birth.

Is this a good or bad thing? Biblically speaking its likely bad (rapid growth in knowledge wasn't seen as good unless that knowledge was of god). Scientifically its good - that man has shown the ability to persevere under nearly any circumstance. Personally its good and bad. Good for obvious reasons. Bad due to eventual limited resources, pollution, and stress, which are all natural selection game over scenarios when extreme. So how does science fix it when it gets to a crisis level? We're always thinking of new ways but those ways will eventually run out.

Yes - its intentional - we want to survive like any species. Its not intentional IMO to crowd each other out and thereby reverse the intended purpose. It's unprecedented for sure - nowhere in history that I'm aware of does it tell us an intelligent species became extinct because of an enhanced ability to evolve.

Which is an exact example of what I said...

Human greed to own the planet and shape it to our whims, instead of living in harmony with it.

America produces enough food to feed the entire planet on its own, the only thing thats lacking is the will to do so.

It would take infrastructure unlike the world has ever seen but its doable.

Instead we wage wars and dump money down the toilet to kill each other.

So once again, plain old greed, not a lack of resources, even the "water" Crisis they are pushing now can be solved with Solar desalinization plants.

Again only need the will to do it over all the other crap we spend money on.

All because of greed.

If humanity is to survive the next 100 years, I dare say a more "socialist" attitude toward staple goods is needed, Food, Drinking Water, Electricity. Should be free to all.

I know I know, saying that makes me un-american socialist swine.

To me human life is worth more than profit.

You can have the capitalism still in effect on luxury items that don't fall into the above.

I think you can't educate people about procreation cos Bible says something along lines of " go forth and procreate plenty" and they do it without considering the consequence.

Biblically speaking there is a difference between knowledge and wisdom.

Knowledge builds the Atomic bomb, Wisdom builds a clean energy source safely to provide power to all (nuclear energy can be done safely and efficiently, but you throw a budget on that and you get fukushima. )

yes live and be fruitful-
if more guidance was shared in which ages are best for procreate, maybe the species would had/have better behavior and respect for the ability to procreate
But instead Sex & Violence sells generates $$$ more greed influence and so the norm programmed into the minds of many.

As the social programing in books-movies-music-video games encourages more sex / violence and not care for your offspring, which will design a stronger conscious mind state to focus on when a potential family consider how many a family mother and father will make.

We were put on earth to tend this garden of Eden. Since Adam and eve were going to destroy the garden god kicked them out to the deserts and poor lands in the area.
They hurt the fig tree and had plans to destroy what god was training them to watch over. I would guess the tree of knowledge of good and evil was not even a tree, but a beehive containing a nectar of the gods. It would explain why they needed clothes after destroying the hive, to cover all their bee stings.
They probably killed the fig tree ripping the leaves off too.

This desire to want things we do not need has caused the earth some grief. I would say that we have been screwing up a lot of stuff in the world since then because of this desire. Do we really need to create weapons and machines that take the place of the need for man so less and less people can earn a living.

If we continue under the current system than no, it never will.

We never address something until its bit us in the @$$, and than its half measures to bandaid the problem.

as long as Corporatism Ideology is profit over people, yea we are screwed.

The only reason the "population" problem is a problem, is because of TPTBs unwillingness to lose the current system of control in place.

Those in power, Love their power more than the future of humanity.

As long as that's the case the future is very dark indeed.

AS FOR all this bible talk about breeding uncontrollably, there is also a very biblical concept of Stewardship, The bible does not just call people to multiply, but to be good stewards over the world. The first half gets remembered, the last forgotten.

You do understand the Petulant of the bible, the first books, are Supposed to be Written by Moses as told to him by god from Mount Sinai. So everything until Moses is God telling Moses a story.

And as with most complex things in the bible, its told to Moses in a language he can understand.

It is also supposed to be the story of the SEMITIC origin story, heres proof, who did Cain marry?

Its all in the bible if you read it, instead of going by what people tell you.

Based on 7 billion, standing shoulder to shoulder we could all fit into Los Angeles but this is misleading as is the Texas comparison because as you point out - waste and human consumption. Each person needs sustinence. Livestock, vegetation to feed the livestock, vegetation for us, water. Each person needs space for their waste. People need homes.
Those are just basic needs so theoretically we could probably fit more people onto the planet but that would be if people lived simple and bare bones lifestyles. Energy would need to be free of pollution; fresh water for drinking and bathing only, populations dense to avoid loss of vegetation which produces oxygen and cleans the air, etc. not to mention leaving space for other species and not impinging on their resources to fulfill our own.

A nat geo article once stated we can only sustain 9-10 billion without depleting resources completely. I would need to find that but it makes sense given how most people's lifestyles are (minus the indigenous tribe here and there who live based on needs alone). .People also like their space. We could probably fit a zillion people but would we want that?
