Really? I give you essays and history and you give me the urban dictionary. That is how most on this site view liberals not necessarily in real life.

Your Highness is most awesome.

I love how you dissmiss peoole who have exprianced things first hand.

Great you live in a area were there are more jobs than people and homeless shelters and disabled charitys have a abundance in resources. Guess what 90% of people dont!

There are actually areas were even the lowest of the low jobs are scarce and there are 500 odd aplications per job! How the hell do you "get a job" and fend for your self in places were there ARE NO FRICKEN JOBS!

You need to sort THAT problem out first!

It must be true if it came from Rachel Maddow!

How does any of this prove the Tea Party is responsible for the OP’s letter? Rachel Maddow is a hypocrite and propaganda tool of the left! If anyone listened to that garbage MSNBC’s ratings would at least be better than Dora the Explorer!

Essays and history?

Look, if you think for one minute that the majority of Americans define “liberal” the way you do you’re mistaken. My post was proof of how far off your definition is from mainstream.

Your Highness is most awesome.

Mind your manners, princess. No personal attacks.

By the way, you skipped this part of my post: The way you describe liberalism, I would think the average liberal would advocate outing abusers of the system rather than calling those who do “Tea Bagger Biggots” as the OP’s article does. Why isn't this the case if liberal is center??

Folks?

Can we just defeat evil draconian government and THEN go back to beating each other up with labels?

Want to know WHY so many are on disability or on the dole?

Because our economy sucks! Too many government fingers in OUR pies!

Too many damned laws!
Too many damned taxes!
Too many damned politicians!

Let's keep our eye on the prize, people!

Good luck with that.

Has any generation been above the fray? I think not!

We can't even agree on who brings evil draconian government!

We've got to walk before we run!

The quote is not from Benjamin Franklin, but the Marque de Tocqueville (sic), who toured America in the early Nineteenth Century. It could also apply to the rich, finding a way into the Public Treasury, it is a double edged phrase.
Then, the wild man probably could not have passed the 8th Grade exam in Kentucky in 1912. It is posted on line, give it a try. Be prepared to Fail. Our grand parents and Great Grand parents weren't so dumb, after all.

Is that how it is in UK?

Guess that’s why more Brits vacation in US than Americans vacation in Europe these days!

Our problems in US are numerous but the chance for individual prosperity is within reach for ALL AMERICANS TODAY! The problem is many chose to reach into their neighbor’s pocket rather than reaching for the proverbial American dream.

Oh?

Experiencing things first hand ?

Like the lowest point in my life I sold my plasma just to put gas in my car just to get to and from a lousy job.

NO ONE got me out that that crap sandwhich I didn't ask anyone for help the only person who got me out of that

Was ME.

DON"T DARE GIVE ME THAT TRIPE.

Everyone has a story some choose not to lay it out there.

You got the folks that think government is the solution to our problems.

And you have the folks that think government is the cause of our problems.

Liberals, conservatives, republicans, democrats, are all to blame to some extent.

Let me know if you need a link Beez, but the disability claims are in line with what was predicted pre-financial crisis...also pre-obama. It has in fact jumped...but the jump was predicted and forecasted years ago and is due to an aging baby-boomer generation and folks living longer. The numbers show this clearly when you scratch beyond the headlines.

Goldmann-Sachs Financial just did an exhaustive research package on disability claims and economic impact.

The first group is wrong…the second group is right (IMO of course). We (most Americans) can’t agree on that.

Conservatives most certainly aren’t to blame for the country’s problems because conservatives have NEVER run this country. Bush wasn’t a conservative. I might get stoned in some circles for saying this but….REAGAN wasn’t a small government conservative.

I don't know, beez.....I think the battle for hearts and minds will rage on....the information war continues.

The fact is, it is not and has never been the Government's job to take care of people. If you can't understand that, you simply don't understand the ideals that this country was founded on. In that case, I suggest you move to a socialist state.

From the first days that our prehistoric ancestors gathered into tribes, the goal has been to "take care" of one another. When a hunter is injured amongst the tribe, he can heal and hunt again rather than starve to death. The elderly are used for thier wisdom, everyone shares best practices... Everyone benefits. Security, Education and Healthcare...benefit all members of the tribe.

If you don't understand the value in that then I suggest you move to a third world country.

Right, and it has always been the priest class to take care of these people, not Government. Look towards the church or family.

Uh-huh...I don't debate with ignorance...and priests don't provide for the National Defense...nor are they healing the sick...at least not since JC.

Some areas in the UK mainly up north. I personaly havent had a issue,

Im talking about freinds in the states who are haveing trouble finding simple retail work. They got it in the end but took 6 months of searching. That searching for low crappy jobs. Though this was a year ago things may have improved. The fabled american dream doesnt seem anymore alive in some places than here in europe in some places.

There are plenty of Liberals that do, they would prefer that the social safety net help those that actually need help, calling Tea Party members bigots isn't an as opposed to, liberals are capable of doing both at the same time... which by the way if you look at my first post in this thread, I defended the TPM. It may not be in the form of language that you understand such as poor people suck let them die, but they do care about fraud.

Every step of the way, liberals keep following the script.

How many times can Dr Sowell’s words describe what liberals do to a 'T'?

Do you think for one minute that the Tea Party or conservatives think poor people suck and should die? Just because we disagree how to address problems doesn’t mean we don’t care. That’s such a lame, childish argument.

We are currently in a civil war, we are divided as a nation. Hell, just look at the source of this thread!

I think it's true that any politician doesn't care about anyone that isn't going to vote for them er I mean doesn't think like they do... but the people? The people absolutely care whether they believe the same or not. I know this is hard for you to understand, that people can care about people different from themselves, considering you think anyone different form you is trash.

Obviously conservatives are just suppose to throw a bunch of money at the poor, and that automatically means they care no wait.

Conservative give more to charity than liberals do and they still get vilified.

They demagogue the right because the left doesn't want to lose their base as we all know poor people vote themselves stuff via democratic proxy.

If and when the poor start withholding their votes to the left let's see just how long the left cares about them.
