Anyone remember a TV Show from the 90s, "Early Edition" ??

Wiki

EARLY EDITION

Romancing The Throne
Season: 2

After she hides in the backseat of his van, Gary must deal with Princess Sibella, who is believed to be missing after she runs away from her privileged and rigid lifestyle.
Guest stars: Hayley DuMond, Paxton Whitehead, Scott Adsit.

So in this episode there was a guest actress named, Hayley DuMond who played a riveting performance of "Princess Sibella", of Morenia.

By "Riveting" I mean god-afwul, most brutal rendition of some god knows accent that's supposed to be English? UK-ish, Cockney? I don't know exactly. It sounds like people of "Morenia" I guess. Or moronia? Or just where really bad actors come from.

Oddly enough, the girl who played the role, comes from a really wealthy family, which it seems were not able to afford acting lessons for their daughter. She should have stuck with modelling:

Was a model with Elite Model Management before becoming an actress.

Sister-In-Law of actor, Michael Bowen.

Great niece of Ollyn Layne, inventor of the automatic pancake machine.

Great Grand Daughter of Mahlon E. Layne, inventor of the "Layne vertical pump" which is used in all modern water & oil wells today.

Without further delay, watch this amazing piece of television history:

Her accent kind of drifts from British to Hindu, to Cockney, to drunken walrus.

Watch the full episode for all the magic.

I have no known recollection
of this show ... and after watching the clip
I know why

the Hindu accent you speak of ...
that happens when she's on
Taxi cab[the kidnappers couch]...right

I didn't hear any thing close to cockney.
it was all pretty bad...

what made you wanna thread this B ?

I recommend finding the full episode and giving it a watch. I swear there is some Cockney in there. I figured people might love the comical acting job.

Even though it's not meant to be comedic... o.0

Really, had me in stitches. I've been catching up on shows I used to watch with Mother Boncho as younger Bonchonian, and well, god knows why we watched this one, but we did. Our hobby used to be watching TV shows together, like any good Mother of the later 70s/80s would have done. It carried on until I left the Bonch and did my own thing. Haven't watched a show with her since this one probably.

Old times, reminiscing as it might be.

She could speak fluent gibberish for all I care. She's gorgeous!

Please lay the groundwork for this thread. Is it just about the woman, about the show, or about bad performances?

The show was actually a neat idea (guy gets the paper every morning, and it's actually tomorrow's paper, so he tries to correct some "wrong" he sees)....never saw this episode though, and never really got into it. My mother loved the show though.
