Hi guys

As some of you know I, and Mrs C flew to France this weekend to meet Rodinus and family. It was a tad reckless as I'd only ever met him on ATS.

However a pure soul shines through even over the internet.

Whenever I go somewhere new I have a hat that I wear

It's my hat of happy memories, sure it's bit bent , a bit rough nowadays, but I bought her 23 years ago I keep it on top of the A.V. unit so that I can glance up at any time and be reminded of a laugh, a hug, or any number of things that made me smile.

We all have our box of memories that we drag out occasionally

This is mine

I was dancing my way around the spray booth today after a rough day yesterday

And thought, time to open the memory box

Man that was fun

I was just thinking where do you all hold your memories ?

And isn't it time to go through then again ?

Just a thought

Cody

Great post.

My memories are stored in the closet with my skeletons.

For the most part anyways.

But, I do hold memories in music as well as in pictures. I also have some personal items that hold memories.

Two particular items are a Shot Glass and a Pen. Anytime I have ever made an important decision in my life I have a shot or two to commemorate it and the I sign my name with that pen. When I joined the military almost 30 years ago I used the pen to sign my life away. Then later I took a couple of shots. I did the same when I got the mortgage on my house as well as anytime I get a loan. I have also taken part in some organizations that have included the ritual.

So basically anytime I am required to sign my name for something important I Always engage in the ritual.

The shot glass still looks like new after all of these years, but, because the pen is about 35 years old it is a little worse for wear, although it still writes like a champ.

Oh yeah

Music ................................. how many times have I been stopped in my tracks when I heard a song ?

Countless times

I bought Mrs C. a fountain pen for Christmas a few years ago, we use it to sign anything important.

She's left it to my daughter in our will.

Inscribed on it is simply" Ditto"

It means I love you too from ghost, a bit naff but means the universe to us

My wife is a scrapper, so most of our memories are all in scrapbooks.
