I've had their tuna sub.
It isn't the best, but not horrible.

possible explanations.

1. shark week promotional stunt
2. syfi promotional stunt for the yet to be scripted/filmed sharknado sequel which will take place in NYC.
3. stunt/prank done by random person.
4. someone decided not to bring the sand shark home thanks to the smell.

my guess is #4. sand sharks are very common in the waters around NYC. I've caught plenty of them over the years. Someone might have gone fishing, hooked the shark, decided to keep it and then learned that they aren't good eating or, perhaps, discovered that fish stink when you don't keep them on ice, and covertly dumped the shark on the floor of the subway and then exited the car.

stuff gets left behind on subways all the time. I would be surprised if this was the first time an unattended fish was found on the subway.

This may just be a new Subway promotional tactic.

A freaking shark??..all these yrs we have been thinking Crocks, like some rich idiot who bought home a pet crock got bored and dumped it in the east river and it made it's way in the sewers and subway systems or they flushed baby crocks down the toilet and they some how ended up in the system,in any case I suspect the subway people... folks born and bred in the deepest abandoned recesses of the system who on occasion feast on the homeless and repair people who wondered deep in their domain would also hunt them..

Something fishy about this...

There's a time and a plaice.

I see what you did there.

Why are we so concerned with how the shark got on the train? What kind of world are we living in where sharks are not allowed on trains? We might as well name it Rosa Sharks.

Ha...

Yeah, okay. Enough of that.
