I live in the East Bay (near San Francisco), our house is on the Hayward fault, Calaveras, and whatever else in between. We've had several incidents
of smelling a gas leak in our neighborhood, and PG&E (officially) tells us its nothing or maybe a nearby factory or whatever. A PG&E worker who came
to investigate told us face to face, "We have no idea. Seriously, we've been getting these calls more and more. Week after week, we don't know what's
causing it." I asked him if it was maybe leaks from the old gas lines that they'd been testing and replacing, since the explosion and fires a couple
years back. He said "Let's hope not. You have a checkpoint right in front of your property, but it's very possible."
He seemed at a loss to explain it.
I think the cause is just as likely to be geomagnetic, seismic, solar, meteor, etc. related- as it is to be dangerous outdated infrastructure and/or
deliberate (terrorism, falseflag, etc.).
Same situation with power outages, although they've been brief in my area.
Either way, holycrap.
