Resolved yet? If not, why not? Data back-up systems, software re-installation, replacing a key server... all of these could and would have been done by now. What did I miss?

as one who has worked on travel agencies hardware with proprietary software...sabre is a pretty old program, it was a "glitch whore" even 8 years ago...myself, being retired from "tech" since 06', can't believe they are still using it.....I remember when the big "double-digit date Apocolypse" was set to happen in 2000...we were scrambling around to hundreds of offices of a worldwide insurance company "patching" 386 DOS computers.

I'll give 10 to 1 odds on any bet that Sabre devs applied an application patch and had (edit) a rather difficult and tiresome time rolling back.

Heck, I feel like being rich, I'll make it 1000 to 1.

Any takers?

I see you have a lot of skeptics around here. Yeah... they wouldn't listen to me either. But it could be that someone is about to seriously mess with something.

today the Reservation System known as Opera went down for many different hotel properties, it was down for many hours and last i check an hour ago is still down,

wonder if its related. seems highly coincedental

Opera is capable of integrating with Sabre, so a connection would be sensible

So nowadays a bug in a computer program relates to terrorism.

What a brave new world we live in.

Back in the 90ies we called this "a glitch".
