isn't strange that the rates start to fall after about 5yrs after the Epicyte strain of corn was announced.

Isn't it strange that birth rates started declining since at least 1990?
Isn't it strange that there was an increase in rates in 2005?
Isn't it strange that immigrants showed a much higher rate of decline than US born?

The depth of your confirmation bias is astounding. I will grant you that.

And Bill Gates and Monsanto are neck deep into the whole thing.

After it was exposed that the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the philanthropic brainchild of Microsoft founder Bill Gates, purchased 500,000 shares in Monsanto back in 2010 valued at more than $23 million, it became abundantly clear that this so-called benevolent charity is up to something other than eradicating disease and feeding the world's poor ( guardian.co.uk). It turns out that the Gates family legacy has long been one of trying to dominate and control the world's systems, including in the areas of technology, medicine, and now agriculture.

The Gates Foundation, aka the tax-exempt Gates Family Trust, is currently in the process of spending billions of dollars in the name of humanitarianism to establish a global food monopoly dominated by genetically-modified (GM) crops and seeds. And based on the Gates family's history of involvement in world affairs, it appears that one of its main goals besides simply establishing corporate control of the world's food supply is to reduce the world's population by a significant amount in the process.

Bill Gates, Monsanto, and eugenics

The whole GMO thing ties in with eugenics.

Maybe that's part of the reason the pro-GMO agenda is well funded and shill-infested.

Geeesh.

Your thread took off like a rocket powered by air or something

Tesla was a known people eater.

He would have been involved in GMO for sure had he lived long enough.

His science theories are OK, but not his views of the Human Race.

Indeed, that is very curious, and suspect. Perhaps and likely explains why some of the
GMO supporters attempted to use a red herring about pheotype differences.
(which relates to hormonal differences) between GMO and non GMO.

Since there is no testing done on the GMO products, we can pretty much assume
as with the wheat that was found growing in Oregon....there is contamination.
up:

i tell ya, their up to something. i read further in the birth rate report that they wanted to say that some of it maybe due to economy. ie no money , no kids. well there are many that think that the economy was and is setup to fall on purpose.
also further into the report, it says that the birth rate is higher among immigrants than U.S. born mothers.
and we know that most immigrants hold on to loyalties for their homeland.

just more to ponder.

Indeed they were, and likely still are.

The USDA was involved in the patent for the sterile seeds....
and perhaps still is! As to the corn and the sterilie gene,
that seems to me a grand weapon of warfare.

As for the seeds ......

well yes it shows a decline, but did you read the whole report? i don't think you did.

Final 2011 data are not available, but according to preliminary data from the National Center for Health Statistics, the overall birth rate in 2011 was 63.2 per 1,000 women of childbearing age. That rate is the lowest since at least 1920, the earliest year for which there are reliable numbers.2 The overall U.S. birth rate peaked most recently in the Baby Boom years, reaching 122.7 in 1957, nearly double today’s rate. The birth rate sagged through the mid-1970s but stabilized at 65-70 births per 1,000 women for most years after that before falling again after 2007, the beginning of the Great Recession.
In addition to the birth rate decline, the number of U.S. births, which had been rising since 2002, fell abruptly after 2007—a decrease also led by immigrant women. From 2007 to 2010, the overall number of births declined 7%, pulled down by a 13% drop in births to immigrants and a relatively modest 5% decline in births to U.S.-born women.

The sharper decline in birth rates to immigrant women compared with native-born women has closed the gap in birth rates somewhat over the 20-year period. In 1990, the birth rate for immigrant women was 70% higher than for native-born women. In 2010, it was 49% higher. Another measure of fertility—children ever born—indicates the number of children that women nearing the end of their childbearing years have had in their lifetimes (including those who have had no children). According to the Current Population Survey, this number is an average 2.1 for immigrant women, and 1.8 for U.S.-born women.9

Military style trade wars on GMO

The US embassy in Paris advised Washington to start a military-style trade war against any Euroxpean Union country which opposed genetically modified (GM) crops, newly released WikiLeaks cables show.

In response to moves by France to ban a Monsanto GM corn variety in late 2007, the ambassador, Craig Stapleton, a friend and business partner of former US president George Bush, asked Washington to penalise the EU and particularly countries which did not support the use of GM crops.

"Country team Paris recommends that we calibrate a target retaliation list that causes some pain across the EU since this is a collective responsibility, but that also focuses in part on the worst culprits.

"The list should be measured rather than vicious and must be sustainable over the long term, since we should not expect an early victory. Moving to retaliation will make clear that the current path has real costs to EU interests and could help strengthen European pro-biotech voices," said Stapleton, who with Bush co-owned the Dallas/Fort Worth-based Texas Rangers baseball team in the 1990s.

In other newly released cables, US diplomats around the world are found to have pushed GM crops as a strategic government and commercial imperative.

Second post in series on the Epicyte Corn -

A few things to think about
Realize this was over a decade ago, when less was known and methods were
not as precise as they are today. They can do nearly everything they wish with
plant genes, Genetic Engineering through what we eat.

And some say GMO food is safe....that is the craziest thing.
What would make it safe???

Contraceptives On the Cob

And that's just for starters. Epicyte is one of a host of biotech companies that have seized on the information in the map of the human genome — a map that was officially declared complete last month — to create all manner of plant-based pharmaceuticals. Researchers have launched more than 300 trials of genetically engineered crops to produce everything from fruit-based hepatitis vaccines to AIDS drugs grown in tobacco leaves. They call this biopharming.

Critics — and there are many — have another name for it. They call it Pharmageddon. Environmentalists are worried that the unnaturally combined genes, when loosed upon the ecosphere, will spread like genetic kudzu. Consumer advocates, who have never warmed to today's genetically modified foods, fear that plant-grown drugs and industrial chemicals will end up on their dinner tables. Hoping to head off a public revolt, the Federal Government is putting the finishing touches on new regulations aimed at reassuring the grocery industry that human-based crops will not contaminate the food supply.

But the proposed rules are not satisfying the critics or slowing the biopharmers. Open-air trials of pharmaceutical crops have taken place in 14 states, from Hawaii to Maryland. A Texas firm is selling a corn-bred enzyme that stimulates insulin production in diabetics. Clinical trials have begun for experimental crop-grown drugs to treat cystic fibrosis, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and hepatitis B. "Molecular farming represents the pharmaceutical industry's best opportunity to strike a serious blow against such global diseases as AIDS, Alzheimer's and cancer," says Francois Arcand, president of the Conference on Plant-Made Pharmaceuticals, held in Quebec City earlier this year.

Third in a series of posts on the Epicyte Gene, Genetic Engineering - Big Pharma
In The Food We Eat

en.wikipedia.org...(genetics)
Pharming is a portmanteau of farming and "pharmaceutical" and refers to the use of genetic engineering to insert genes that code for useful pharmaceuticals into host animals or plants that would otherwise not express those genes, thus creating a genetically modified organism (GMO).[1][2] Pharming is also known as molecular farming, molecular pharming[3] or biopharming.[4]

The products of pharming are recombinant proteins or their metabolic products. Recombinant proteins are most commonly produced using bacteria or yeast in a bioreactor, but pharming offers the advantage to the producer that it does not require expensive infrastructure, and production capacity can be quickly scaled to meet demand, at greatly reduced cost.[5]

From prior field trials, we learn that pollen does escape, and contaminate other crops.
www.biotech-info.net...

The fact that the plants are used to produce drugs alarms activists. They worry that once production begins, the altered plants might find their way into the food supply or cross-pollinate with conventional, non-GM crops.[30]
These concerns have historical validation from the ProdiGene incident, and from the StarLink incident, in which GMO corn accidentally ended up in commercial food products.

“Drugs have side effects,” “They should not turn up in our cornflakes.”

Jean Halloran of the Consumers Union

Hoping to head off a public revolt, the Federal Government is putting the finishing touches on new regulations aimed at reassuring the grocery industry that human-based crops will not contaminate the food supply. But the perils of using food crops became clear last December when the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) ordered the incineration of 500,000 bushels of soybeans in Aurora, Neb. The soybeans, from a plant used in everything from baby food and margarine to ice cream, were inadvertently mixed in a silo with corn that was genetically engineered by a Texas firm, ProdiGene Inc., to produce a vaccine against pig diarrhea.

Yes, and you found the link with the Rockefellers
, well here is more :

1960 the Rockefeller Foundation, John D. Rockefeller III’s Agriculture Development Council and the Ford Foundation joined forces to create the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) in Los Baños, the Philippines. By 1971, the Rockefeller Foundation’s IRRI, along with their Mexico-based International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center and two other Rockefeller and Ford Foundation-created international research centers, the IITA for tropical agriculture, Nigeria, and IRRI for rice, Philippines, combined to form a global Consultative Group on International Agriculture Research (CGIAR).

CGIAR was shaped at a series of private conferences held at the Rockefeller Foundation’s conference center in Bellagio, Italy. Key participants at the Bellagio talks were the Rockefeller Foundation’s George Harrar, Ford Foundation’s Forrest Hill, Robert McNamara of the World Bank and Maurice Strong, the Rockefeller family’s international environmental organizer, who, as a Rockefeller Foundation Trustee, organized the UN Earth Summit in Stockholm in 1972. It was part of the foundation’s decades long focus to turn science to the service of eugenics, a hideous version of racial purity, what has been called The Project.

To ensure maximum impact, CGIAR drew in the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization, the UN Development Program and the World Bank. Thus, through a carefully-planned leverage of its initial funds, the Rockefeller Foundation by the beginning of the 1970’s was in a position to shape global agriculture policy. And shape it did.

GMO as a weapon of biowarfare
Monsanto holds the patents

A small California biotech company, Epicyte, in 2001 announced the development of genetically engineered corn which contained a spermicide which made the semen of men who ate it sterile. At the time Epicyte had a joint venture agreement to spread its technology with DuPont and Syngenta, two of the sponsors of the Svalbard Doomsday Seed Vault. Epicyte was since acquired by a North Carolina biotech company. Astonishing to learn was that Epicyte had developed its spermicidal GMO corn with research funds from the US Department of Agriculture, the same USDA which, despite worldwide opposition, continued to finance the development of Terminator technology, now held by Monsanto.

In the 1990’s the UN’s World Health Organization launched a campaign to vaccinate millions of women in Nicaragua, Mexico and the Philippines between the ages of 15 and 45, allegedly against Tentanus, a sickness arising from such things as stepping on a rusty nail. The vaccine was not given to men or boys, despite the fact they are presumably equally liable to step on rusty nails as women.

Because of that curious anomaly, Comite Pro Vida de Mexico, a Roman Catholic lay organization became suspicious and had vaccine samples tested. The tests revealed that the Tetanus vaccine being spread by the WHO only to women of child-bearing age contained human Chorionic Gonadotrophin or hCG, a natural hormone which when combined with a tetanus toxoid carrier stimulated antibodies rendering a woman incapable of maintaining a pregnancy. None of the women vaccinated were told.

It later came out that the Rockefeller Foundation along with the Rockefeller’s Population Council, the World Bank (home to CGIAR), and the United States’ National Institutes of Health had been involved in a 20-year-long project begun in 1972 to develop the concealed abortion vaccine with a tetanus carrier for WHO. In addition, the Government of Norway, the host to the Svalbard Doomsday Seed Vault, donated $41 million to develop the special abortive Tetanus vaccine. 12

Is it a coincidence that these same organizations, from Norway to the Rockefeller Foundation to the World Bank are also involved in the Svalbard seed bank project? According to Prof. Francis Boyle who drafted the Biological Weapons Anti-Terrorism Act of 1989 enacted by the US Congress, the Pentagon is ‘now gearing up to fight and win biological warfare’ as part of two Bush national strategy directives adopted, he notes, ‘without public knowledge and review’ in 2002. Boyle adds that in 2001-2004 alone the US Federal Government spent $14.5 billion for civilian bio-warfare-related work, a staggering sum.

Seed-Patent case in Supreme Court : Loss of Patent Control Could
Rekindle ‘Terminator’ Technology.

Without that protection, companies say, they have little recourse to prevent someone from buying seed — or a cell culture or a transgenic animal — and using it to generate thousands more to sell again at a fraction of the original price. “Once you have sold the first seed, you are done,” says Hans Sauer, deputy general counsel for intellectual property at the Biotechnology Industry Organization, a lobby group in Washington DC.

Early patents on ‘gene-use restriction technologies’ — later rebranded as ‘terminator’ technology by activists opposed to them — described a genetic modification that switched on production of a toxin that would kill off developing plant embryos. The result: a seed that could be harvested for food but would not produce offspring. The controversial proposal raised concerns that it would make farmers dependent on industry for their livelihood.

www.nature.com...

So, depending on the Supreme Court Ruling, we could be seeing Terminator, The Sequel.

The biggest risk from ‘Terminator’ seeds is if and when they can't make them anymore.

What happens if a catastrophe strikes and stops production.

A catastrophe like a wild or deliberate mutation in the laboratories.

Or an 'accidental' mistake that produces billions of seeds that won't grow.

Ah, yes! That is why....they ...all of them have invested in the Seed Vault!
Gates, Monsanto, they are all involved.

And....take a good look at that last chart and notice "the gene guard" !

And, synthetic mediums needed for growth! (nanotech)

Ding ding ding.

Here is some info on Gene - Guard

Over the terminator gene, there is much controversy, as with all GMO there is the
risk and danger of horizontal gene transfer with a soil bacterium.

Horizontal gene transfer is currently an increasingly pressing topic in the field of Synthetic Biology. It is the main limiting factor which is halting the release of GMO's to the environment as while we know what our genetic construct will do in our own chassis we are unsure what it will do in another organism.

And, meanwhile we are dealing with pesticide corn and it fallout, and leftovers
from years of the Epicyte gene being released into the wild.

MYTH:

Horizontal gene transfer from GM crops is unlikely or of no consequence

TRUTH:

GM genes can escape into the environment by horizontal gene transfer with potentially serious consequences

Most GM contamination incidents occur through cross-pollination, contamination of seed stocks, or failure to segregate GM from non-GM crops after harvest. But for years, scientists have warned that GM genes could also escape from GM crops into other organisms through a mechanism called horizontal gene transfer (HGT). HGT is the movement of genetic material between unrelated species through a mechanism other than reproduction. Reproduction, in contrast, is known as vertical gene transfer because the genes are passed down through the generations from parent to offspring.

GM proponents and government regulators often claim that, based on available experimental data, HGT is rare. The EU-supported website GMO Compass states, “So far, horizontal gene transfer can only be demonstrated under optimised laboratory conditions.”164 Alternatively, they argue that if it does happen, it does not matter, as GM DNA is no more dangerous than non-GM DNA.

But there are several mechanisms through which HGT can occur, some of which are more likely than others. HGT via some of these mechanisms occurs easily and frequently in nature. The consequences of HGT from GM crops are potentially serious, yet have not been adequately taken into account by regulators.
