Charlie Rangel (D-NY) Calls Tea Party 'White Cr---ers'

The double standards in U.S. politics are completely ridiculous.

Below is the latest example of blatant racism...from one of our so-called 'enlightened' progressive liberals.

IMO this is outrageous...but, sadly, making generalized, overtly racist and inflammatory statements against conservative groups and individuals has become, not only acceptable, but laudable among liberals.

It sad how racism against people in this country has become so acceptable and institutionalized among liberals. Statements such as these by Rangle are wrong on soooo many levels....and, yet, the liberal media remains virtually silent; this only encourages more of this type of aberrant behavior.

Rangle should be ashamed of himself, yet, sadly, he is probably receiving pats on the back from his fellow democrats.

No wonder the IRS felt it was okay to 'target' Tea Party groups so zealously...and with presumed immunity.

In an interview with the Daily Beast published Friday, Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY) suggested Tea Partiers are the “same group” who fought for segregation during the Civil Rights movement.

“It is the same group we faced in the South with those white crackers and the dogs and the police. They didn’t care about how they looked,” Rangel said.

Because of this, Rangel said the Tea Party could be defeated using the same tactics employed against Jim Crow.

I saw this in the news earlier today, and just had to sigh. I met Rangel a couple times while living in NYC, and he comes across as a thin plastic bag floating about in a breeze created by the other unfortunate hotheads which which he associates. This latest is, unfortunately, not a surprise.

While I do think the "Tea Party" is evolving into an American Taliban, Rangel's language and methodology are detestable.
