WASHINGTON (TheBlaze/AP) — Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) lost his cool on the Senate floor Thursday while trying to get his fellow lawmakers to let Sen. Susan Collins (D-Maine) speak about an appropriations bill.

Wish Reid would take his own 'advice'.

Hey Harry?

It's not polite to tell people to 'sit down and shut up' which well for all intents and purposes should be your parties platform that way you would get to do what ever the hell you wanted..

"Unfair' he says ! !

Awe look at Taliban Harry

Yep. He has started showing some back bone to the Tea Party Taliban.

Let's hope Boehner starts doing the same.

Silence the opposition to lie

What an awesome 'democracy' we have.

Nope. I didn't read the op ed piece.

Just watched the clip.

Sounded like he was calling the TPT up on their manners.

There are 5 Tea Party members within the Tea Party Caucus? He sounded very general to me, but assuming he was talking to just one or more of those 5 specific people? Which do you think annoyed him above the other 90 Senators in the room today? (3 didn't vote at all and may not have been there for this)

The House of Reps has a number of people but the Senate has just 5. Rand Paul and Cruz are 2 of the 5..if you really want to call them Tea Party. Quite a leap of logic to make on one statement made in the background.

The background chit chat wasn't so bad that she could not be heard but Harry Reid certainly drowned her out and interrupted her. Harry should take his own advice and sit down and shut up!

Looks like she is a moderate Republican.

Which makes her akin to Carl Marx to the TPT.

From the 22 second clip, we can not really tell.

However we are both experienced enough to know who shouts the most and shows the least amount of manners in the Senate.

Well, actually, I don't make a habit of watching the endless running video of the House and Senate floor activity while they are in session, so I have no earthly clue who is generally making noise and who isn't. Do you figure one of the 5 tea party caucus members is a habitual offender of decorum?

C'mon, we're also both experienced enough to know the saying about assumptions and why that's a bad thing. It's a pretty fitting saying at times. This was assuming that because Harry Reid was impatient, out of 97 or so Senators in the room, it must have been 1 or more of 5 specific individuals. That's an assumption of colossal proportion and beyond my scope of things.

Like Boehner said. Everyone will be in better moods after they get their annual vacations for August. Words of wisdom, if I ever heard them. In fact, the end of summer vacation will be a relief and good time for more than just Congress, I'm thinking.

Really?

Then what does that make Reid?

Full blown marxist?

True. I really don't know who Reid was shouting down. (I'm no fan of his BTW) He does seem to have grown a pair in the last few weeks however. And, as I said, hopefully Boehner will too. Perhaps then they can do the job we are paying them for.

As to the end of Summer. Speaking as an Englishman in Texas. I can't wait for cooler weather. God made me waterproof not heat resistant.

Well the Senate has a good Democrat majority.

Sounded to me like 'they' were just acting normal.

Republicans don't surf.

Oh I hear ya on the heat. Give me a choice between South Pole Station and a comfy spot in the Sahara Desert with everything I could dream of but air conditioning? I'll pack the parka and ask when we're headed south. I can add clothing in the cold until I look like the Pillsbury Dough boy to stay comfy. I can't strip further than my birthday suit in the heat...and that's not enough some days in Missouri.

Fair enough on Reid. You dislike him while I detest Boehner and before ya know it, we'll find we agree on more than we disagree on!

Ok. I'll make a deal with you.

During Summer, if you're ever in Texas or I'm in Missouri we'll drink a cold beer on the porch in our Birthday suits.

Now there's a Bi-Partisan photo op for ATS.

And a good way to experience the Gaol system at first hand.

We should have more of this in America.

I wonder what the context was.

If you listened he was speaking about the "minority leader"... that would be Sen. Mitch McConnell from Kentucky. He's not a TEA Party Conservative, in fact, he is being primaried by a TEA Party candidate.

Edit: Listened the 2nd time, I guess it was the speaker saying Majority Leader.
