Let us assume your lie of being a car wash manager holds true
( I do not believe you, period)
Don't really care if you believe me or not. You can think whatever you like of me. It won't make me lose any sleep at night.
I'm not sure why you are getting so personal with me. But, I'll play along.
Now when you hire a new employee
what do you look for?
It's a small company, I don't do the hiring, I just do the training. The owner does the hiring. But this is what he looks for.
1. Appearance during the interview, did the person come in dressed for the job, or did he come in dressed for the club, did he come in dressed like a
gang member, does he have visible tattoos?
2. Articulation and pronunciation. Can they speak properly? Or do they sound like they just wandered in fresh from the moonshine still or straight out
of the ghetto?
3. Can they take the heat? Can they work in a fast paced disorganized chaotic environment?
Do you ask for their GPA
Or do you ask for work history and references
It's a car wash, not a fortune 500 company, work history and references. We accept many people, but only a few actually make the cut past training.
Most quit of their own free will, while others are let go after it's obvious they aren't going to make it in the hectic environment. We background
check every employee as our clientele typically have higher end cars and often a lot of valuables in them. They have a record of theft? No go. Though
we might let someone with a record of assault in.
The why part of this is very important
You are looking to get a feel on what here?
Are they an idiot? Can they think on their feet? Can they move fast? Can they express to customers what they did, how they did it, and inspire
confidence in a job well done.
