Archaeologists in Turkey discover a piece of a cross related to Jesus

This is one of the most ridiculous stories I've heard in a long time. Really, how can you say a piece of a wooden cross is at all related to Jesus? Anything to come up with a story and to get attention............. *shakes my head*

Maybe they need more money. You say Jesus, then Cross you just might be suprised how many rich Christians would send money to help dig more, and Im sure thats what is going on here.

Eastern Orthodoxy takes relics extremely seriously. If it was a piece of the cross itself, it would have been locked away, labeled as so, protected, and a church would have been built around it.

It very well may be a piece of the cross. Im 50/50 on this so far until they can get some carbon dating
