There are just a few minor bits and pieces remaining in this most massive overhaul of ATS ever undertaken. Most of our staff have been using the new site quite a bit, but still, that's likely not enough "eyeballs" to spot all the little issues that need to be corrected before launch.

So, I need some BETA Testers to help hunt bugs and issues, and get it ready for launch. But more specifically, I'm looking for people who have some solid familiarity with websites and modern web technologies. Ideally:

1) you should know what HTML5 means

2) you should have at least a passing understanding of colors/styles for the web

3) you have access to a mobile device for testing the responsive design

4) you have an HD or better monitor on your computer

We've set up a dedicated forum to track issues and collect comments/ideas. So if you're on the list of BETA testers, we'll be collaborating there.

If interested, please send me a private message and include some information about your web-centric knowledge, as well as the operating system and browser you'll be using -- in addition to any mobile devices you'll use.

Oh... and yes... the ATS.5/3 site now has light/dark UI options!

I think I qualify or mostly qualify except for the mobile phone. I have a less sophisticated tracfone.

I have a Kindle Fire but I don't use it on the net either. I suppose I could if it were that helpful but it's not been a priority to me.

So, I guess I won't bother you with a private message.

I would like to suggest that I HOPE the new setup will allow a refresh when at the bottom of a page to return to the bottom of the page automatically. It's annoying and time consuming to have to always scroll down.

Anyway--GREAT TO HEAR OF THE PROGRESS.

THX THX.

I'm the best member. Self proclaimed, but i think if we did a vote everyone else would agree.

Thanks
Onequestion

P.S. - Your avatar looks scary and mean, are you scary and mean?

I've been known to be both scary and mean from time to time.

I have time to help if you need more eyes and testers. I am familiar with HTML, and have looked at html5. I am willing to do some research to come up to speed.

I have the other stuff down you requested.

Let me know if you want my assistance. It's the least I can do for one of my favorite sites!

I'm not 100% fluid in HTML5, but I have a decent understanding of how HTML works in general and the new things HTML5 brings.

I have only 720p on my notebook, however I have 1080 on my desktop. (I use both regularly)

I'd love to help beta test the new forum. Has to be better then alpha testing.

Well now, this sounds like fun while having a constructive way to feel downright useful around here for a change.

Count me in, if the beta program would have me!

@ Beezzer

Darn...You should have told me! I have a shelf of Beta tapes and no one to give them to... Perhaps the Smithsonian for deep American history? (hops off quickly)

Retirement boring?

Perhaps a new retirement manager would help? LOL.

Have almost been busier . . . with no end insight.

Meaningful art/craft, woodworking, gardening, plenty of chores around the place . . . ATS, watching over 90+ dad on oxygen . . . etc.

Now if they'd just finish the ATS overhaul . . . at least before the O destroys the net functioning entirely . . . LOL.

I have experience with various forum softwares, CMS, html websites, css etc. and would be glad to beta. I use Chrome on Win 8 and Linux Mint as well as native browser on Kindle and my Galaxy Nexus Note 2.
