I have a basic question to religious believers...

Why is it you believe in something so unbelievable?

Certain things in religious texts ring true within ones heart...

Put aside the dogmatic superstitions and fear based myths and you're left with truth...

That which even various science's are slowing coming to realise...

Translation: "I believe because it is absurd." I'm curious why do you identify your faith as absurd. Hopefully I'm explaining this correctly.

There are parts in various bibles that have good values...but for the most part there full of stories...just made up stories...

Did you know that every single religion in the history of man points to one thing unanimously?

That being "life after death"?

Perhaps that is why some 80% of the world chooses a religion or spiritual belief of some sort?

"For the scientist who has lived by his faith in the power of reason, the story ends like a bad dream. He has scaled the mountain of ignorance; he is about to conquer the highest peak; as he pulls himself over the final rock, he is greeted by a band of theologians who have been sitting there for centuries." -Robert Jastrow

You seem to believe 80% of the world is gullible while you have the correct answer...

And while I actually agree with that sentiment... the agreement is not based on spiritual belief...

More like general or even basic intelligence...

Why do you believe religious people to be gullible?

Isn't it a bit unbelievable that 13 billion years have elapsed and we aren't a dead planet yet? All the planets in our neighborhood are dead but some hint that they could have supported life at one time. Yet we are still here. No ELE's in 13 BILLION years! Unbelievable!

That is a ridiculously wild assumption...

You know what they say about those that assume right?

The formation and evolution of the Solar System is estimated to have begun 4.6 billion of years ago. Also I believe Mars and Venus were suspected to once be able to have life on their soil. Also what does "ELE" mean?

Judge them however you wish... that is your prerogative.

Though as I've said before.... even the most hardcore atheist turns to God in their darkest time...

Deep down everyone knows there is something much more to life then what we can see with our eyes
