hello

I just saw this breaking

there is a live video at the link

105 children across 76 us cities has been recued from sex trafficking

here's another tweet from the video..

Youngest child recovered in weekend operation to crack down on child sex trafficking is 13 years old
eta
FBI Assistant Director Ron Hosko: Operation to crack down on child sex trafficking prompted arrests of 150 pimps - @johnson_carrie

maybe a lot of parents will get to be reunited with their kids

here's a link with some info
usnews.nbcnews.com...

The youngest child was 13 years old, the agency said.

The raids resulted in the arrest of 150 “pimps” involved in the commercial exploitation of both adults and children, said Ronald Hosko, assistant director of the FBI’s criminal investigative division.

It was the FBI’s largest action to date focusing on the recovery of sexually exploited children, and took law enforcement agencies to streets, motels, casinos and social media platforms, Hosko said. He said he hoped it would focus attention on sex trafficking, “this threat that robs us of our children.”

The pimps preyed in particular on troubled children, including children from broken homes, authorities said. In some of the cases, they used a popular online classified site, Backpage, to sell the children for sex, authorities said.

Nice...great story to hear. I am sure it will be spun in a way to show that NSA spying led to the case being solved and the capture of those involved in the trafficking ring. That would make everyone think that spying may not be so bad right...or at least that is how they will spin it.

This is good news yet disturbing. I hope they can round up all the people involved not just the pimps! As a mother of three small kids, this is would be my worst nightmare. I hope these people never see the light of day again. I have no sympathy what so ever for these monsters.

Thank you for posting. Hopefully this creates a large awareness of these dreadful tragedies and the possible reasons behind them.

From the article:

Lets try and fix those broken homes. Unfortunately the current administration seems more interested in other issues....

Glad to see that at least some good work comes from the ABC agencies.

Didn't take long for someone to somehow tie Obama to child prostitution rings now did it?
As if it is somehow his duty to strengthen the family unit and ensure there is a reduction in the divorce rate on his watch.

SERIOUSLY???

How does this have ANYTHING to do with the current administration?
If anything, it is his administration that can take credit for these scumbags being busted in the first place.

THe level of ignorance when it comes to how tightly people cling to their favorite team is beyond belief.

And as I drove to work at 5:30 this morning 2 young girls waved at me from a stop sign near downtown. I don't think they wanted a ride to school.

I wish we would throw all our resources at crimes like these versus wasting our time and resources against the war on drugs or adult consenting prostitution.

Glad they saved those kids but man why aren't we more aggressive with crimes involving children.

Really? Ignoring root cause of social and economic issues bares no relevance to this case? I would argue that.

At a fundamental level, this incident could have been the result of the failings of federal and state law enforcement to catch this network of sicko's before they had the opportunity to abduct these kids. People like this tend to have a past, where is all the federally funded surveillance???
. Furthermore, the social and economic state of the country is the result of the policies of the current, as well as past administrations. Please note that i did not single out the Obama administration. They just happen to have been in power for the last 4+ years.

Please don't turn this into a partisan issue.

Economic and social strife is directly influenced by domestic policy and it would be ignorant of you not to realize that.

From what i've read i doubt that any city in the world would escape this...
whats needed is more of a joined up system to rescue the poor things and prosecute the nasty people....just set some basic rules that include both sides getting mega sentences so the pimp and the user could easily get 50+ years hard bubba

Here is my "mega-sentence" for child abusers. Just take them out and shoot them. No prison, no treatment, just kill them dead as hell. Make the pimps of these young girls stick their dicks in a french frier before you kill them.

When I saw this headline as it broke I was deeply disturbed. Sometimes I forget just how absolutely disgusting some people can be in the actions the do, from the pimps to the customers. May they all rot in their own personal Hell for eternity. It does put a smile on my face that the FBI is actually doing some good work!

The youngest was 13 meaning the rest were between 14 and 17. Ya know how many 13 to 17 year old girls i know who are sexually active on their own without any pimp? All of them. It would not surprise me if at least half of these kids did this willingly.

So the FBI must have been gathering information on this case for some time. I bet they've known some of these girls have been known to the Feds for a while but they weren't saved in the name of the larger mission.

That's an interesting dilemma. Do you save the exploited girl the day you find her, or use her to lead you to the larger network? Allow her to prostitute for a year to save a few dozen more?

"Sometimes the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the one"

Situations like that are horrible but if you can save 30 people and the expense of 1 then it's the hard but right call.

yes..

when you lose your children, it is your worst nightmare, either to the monsters of the state or to the monsters of nefarious other elements, one can survive but, it's a very long road to return to true happiness; children become the environment they are raised in.. for the better or for worse.

That does not make pimping them out AOK. Does it?

Now to start pulling in the customers. Supply is only part of the problem.

Of course not. I never implied it did. It's sex and money. Teen girls love both.. just saying I can see how to at least some of these girls they looked at this like a fun time.

People of America should demand to know the names of these "pimps". I know I would like to get my hands around one of their throats.
