This video basically shows the DoD (George Little) admitting they need to STOP the 'lies' and convince the public that they're their friends.

How obvious does it have to get?

Sorry, I'll not invest 2/3 of an hour in listening to propagandizing by the DoD without some additional details.
I've already spent decades listening to it and being subject to their rules and restrictions.
Thankfully DoD now pays me to ignore them and their rhetoric via my retirement checks.

It seems that the department of defense wants to quit lying as much as they reasonably can while other agencies in our government are trying to up the deceit. Way to go military, it is good to see that you are at least trying a little. Our soldiers were not voluntarily holding information from us before, they were required to by rules from high up.

I can see this as a good policy change, but I cannot see the military telling us everything. I don't even want to know of some of the things they are required to hide from us. A big percentage of the waste in the military is not even the militaries fault. The spending that is done on technology and weapons they don't even wants comes from deals with military contractors that they have little sayso about. It is the committees of congress that are spending this money for overpriced equipment and services.

Remember propaganda is legalized.

For the thread you may want to point out sections you are illustrating to.

Such as I have found: at 6:48
"Media outlets have become more and more dynamic..."
It points out that bogs, Twitter, etc., are more influential then ever on people because it's nearly live reporting, even new reporters have an influence. They want to associate friendships between news reporters on the scene because they are "worried" about the views.

He just got done saying that Ronal Reagan was in the Army Air forces first Motion Pictures Unit.

Looking to the Broader Military Community.
All leaders must understand the world of the press,
and the importance of working with the media.
And we cannot hide our bad news stories.
Bad news gets out one way or the other,
and we must come to terms with telling the bad stories as well as the good.
When bad things happen
the American People should hear it from us!
. [color=gold] Not as a scoop on the Drudge Report.
Unlike a fine red wine,
bad news does not get better with age.

Such a fail. I just watched about 20min. The guy goes on about how the media has changed (surprise , there is this new thing called the internet) and how his department has to learn to adapt to the new media reality.

DOD-dude: i could not watch the whole thing, because nowadays you are supposed to bring your points across swiftly. Not in 45 min like you try. Not in 30min, not in 10. attention span in online medias is 3min. If the topic is really really hot you can have 5 min.
And stop reading from a paper if you want to interest your audience.

This has been a free advice from someone who worked in the online media.

He's not the only person who
is capable of speaking on one topic
for more than five minutes,
and remaining focused.

A slightly different Alex Jones
than most are used to seeing.
here he is not speaking to the public,
but to his peers in the press.

In this 32 minute video he
likens himself to a dead dog covered in maggots
goes angry over the first amendment
advises fellow talk show hosts to be "real"
declares the enemy as Technocrats and Monopoly Men
the public is tired of politicians
    The public IQs are lower
lists the staggering number of daily downloads he gets
talks about how he got his start
    planned artificial scarcity
how to convince people on the internet you are not lying

Not a big fan of AJ here, but at least he is capable of speaking without reading notes,
He is passionate about his speeches and entertaining.

That s part why he is so successful.

You couldn't have at least indicated when those statements take place?

If it is true that he said that the Drudge Report is compromising their agenda it is a disturbing event. It means they are willing to attack news organizations / individuals who do not toe the official line.
